Bright prospects for energy savers: ISY expands its range of LED lamps – partially dimmable Ingolstadt, 06.10.2014: Energy-saving LED lamps are becoming increasingly popular, one reason being that they are now affordable. As of October ISY, Media-Saturn's own brand for functional accessories presents another five LED models, which complement the already existing assortment. Instead of the conventional 25 or 40 watt, they consume no more than 4 or 6 watt while producing the same light intensity. Some of them can be dimmed and all cost under 8 Euro. The ISY LED lamps are available in all German Media Markt and Saturn stores as well as in their respective online shops. With up to 810 lumen, ISY LEDs will light up even the darkest of corners. They are available for all widely-used sockets and with 2800K produce a warm white color temperature that is pleasing to the eye. A new addition is a reflector for GU 5.3 sockets. Two of the new LED models can be dimmed, which means that their range of uses match those of a normal light bulb. A further argument in their favor is, for example, that an ISY LED lamp needs only 6 watts to produce the same light intensity as a conventional 40 watt bulb. The models cost between 4 and approximately 8 euros, thus making the decision to switch to LED technology easier.
