Introduction to the Department
 Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology started in 1999
 Department has maintained an unparalleled track record in academics as
well as in the field of research.
 Introduced innovative ways of teaching-learning in the curriculum like
role-play, field trips, and problem based learning etc. and these have
proved to be effective in overall learning experience.
Vision & Mission of the Department
 To generate sustainable interest for the subject of Forensic Medicine &
Toxicology in students, there by bringing about a positive change in their
attitude.
 To provide basic knowledge regarding the when, what and how of
Medico-legal cases for undergraduate and post graduate students.
 To emphasize and reinforce the principles of biomedical ethics among
students, researchers and teachers.
 To constantly attempt innovative and dynamic changes in the teaching –
learning methodology so as to fulfil the department objectives.
