IPM & Pesticide Safety Education courses offered before June 30, 2015 (see pep.wsu.edu for complete list of
courses). Cancellations and refund requests can be made until 10 days prior to the date of the program for
which you are registered; after that time, course fee is forfeited. The WSU Privacy Policy can be viewed online

A confirmation letter will be sent via the method selected (email/U.S. Postal Service) confirming the date(s)

Early registrations are those postmarked 14 days prior to the first day of the program. All others are regular
registrations. Note the early registration postmark deadlines in the shaded column above.
We also accept registration forms with payment by mail or fax. Mailed registrations require payment with
check, MasterCard or VISA. WSU does not accept purchase orders. Faxed registrations require MasterCard or
VISA payment. Registration forms received without payment are not processed until payment is received.

IPM Hands-on Workshops
Courses rotate through locations on a six year cycle. Each workshop is two days. You must
attend both days. Classes run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day. Workshops are limited to
60 participants and offer 12 WSDA credits.
Integrated Weed Management: Landscapes & Natural Areas
Mt. Vernon • WSU Mt. Vernon REC • Oct. 1 - 2, 2014 (Early reg. 9/17/14)
Learn about key plant characteristics and terms used in weed ID and try out your
weed recognition skills. Learn about IPM strategies for weed management. Noxious
weed management and WA law will also be discussed.

This two-day workshop focuses on grass and weed identification, turf problem diagnosis, and turf management to prevent weed, disease, insect, and cultural problems.

groundwater protection, impacts of pesticides on endangered aquatic organisms, and
managing weeds in biofiltration features, surface water, and riparian areas.
Pruning for Plant Health and Plant Problem Diagnosis & IPM
Seattle • UW Center for Urban Horticulture • Feb. 11 - 12, 2015 (Early reg. 1/28/15)
Learn pruning techniques for shrubs and trees to improve air circulation, light
penetration, and disease management. Develop hands-on diagnostic skills to use as
the first step in IPM.
FALL 2015
Insect IPM and Pollinator Protection

Identify pest and beneficial arthropods; learn to use IPM for effective pest management; identify and safeguard pollinating insects; and get the latest news on colony
collapse disorder.
