and again except customers ask for Ted or Lorne. Ted, Lorne,
Kelly, Chris and Phillip represent more than three generations
of Kostynyks who continue the tradition of working in the
family business.
Since 1964 Gateway Autobody has repaired thousands of
cars in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Second generation
owner Kelly Kostynyk comments, “Cars have always

technicians have 25 plus years’ experience, are Red Seal
journeymen and I-Car Platinum Certified, which means
that they are continuously upgrading their knowledge and
skills to stay abreast of the most current vehicle technology
and repair procedures. New environmental standards have
produced lighter cars using a variety of different metals,
plastics and other products and knowing how to correctly
repair according to manufacturers’ specifications is critical to
customer safety.
At Gateway Autobody, we only use Sikkens® refinishing
materials and paints that are safe for the environment.
To minimize contamination and ensure a strong and durable
finish, paint is applied in a temperature-controlled and particle
filtered spray booth. A computerized colour-matching system
is used to determine the correct paint formula created by the
original manufacturer and then adjusted, tinted and blended
by our technicians to precisely match the existing finish.
