Research and manufactured parts for Biomedical and Aerospace applications
 Investigated the processing of ultra high temperature ceramics to manufacture high
strength complex 3D parts for BOEING using the selective laser sintering (SLS) process
 Developed a technique to manufacture strong and highly porous bioactive glass implants
for bone repair using the SLS process by optimizing the process parameters
 Experienced in Freeze Extrusion Fabrication of porous bioglass constructs reinforced with
metal fibers and fabricating alumina ceramic components
 Working knowledge in culturing cells on implants for tissue engineering and surgical
techniques to create bone defects in rats and evaluate the implants
 Ability to work independently and in multi-disciplinary teams on collaborative projects
 Good skills in writing technical proposals to NSF, NIH, official reports and research papers
