Profile
Peter H. K. Chang received the B.Eng. and the PhD degree in electrical engineering and computer
science from the Seoul National University. He founded Intellimicrons Co. Ltd in 2000 and executed
several Korean Governmental MEMS projects for various applications. He has developed multi-axis
inertial systems like sensor cluster for automotive Electronic Stability Control (ESC), MEMS IMU for
automotive chassis control, 6-axis motion detection sensors for air mouse and INS for sentinel
robots. He also delivered MEMS inertial sensors and systems for various defense systems as a PM,
such as the resonating accelerometer and shock switch for Safety and Arming Unit (SAU). He also
invented the concepts of bi-stable switch, fall detection sensor and wafer level packaged
gyroscope. Since he joined IME A*STAR in 2012, he has been leading MEMS integration projects
with ASIC using WLP and TSV.
