CONDITIONS OF SALE
1. All entries will be sold in catalogue order.
a. Each dog/bitch will be allowed 3 minutes to show his/her fetch/pen and show his/her prowess then
immediately be offered for sale.
b. Dogs/bitches under 12 months of age will be allowed 2 minutes to show his/her capabilities
2. The sale shall be in guineas and payment to the vendor will be in pounds
3. If any dog injures a sheep, the owner of the dog will be responsible for such damage.
4. All dogs will be shown working on the day only and no warranty is given that any dog will give equal
performance for it’s new owner. All dogs are sold on a non-returnable basis.
5. Vendors giving eye test warranties must lodge authenticated registration certificates with the Mart Office 30
minutes before the sale. No representation in respect of this condition will be made unless documentation is
received in the office within the time limit allowed. Purchasers are advised that eye test endorsed
certificates, if available, may be inspected at the office 30 minutes before each dog is offered for Sale.
6. Bitches MUST be clear of pup unless stated to the contrary. Complaints by the purchaser after the sale must
be accompanied by a veterinary certificate clearly demonstrating that the animal was in pup at the time of
sale.
7. Castrated dogs, spayed bitches & dogs with 1 testicle or any other known breeding defect must be declared
by the vendor at the time of sale.
8. Vendors must not pass dogs over to purchasers without prior authority of the auctioneers.
9. Vendors of registered dogs or bitches must pass registration certificates to the Mart Office prior to sale.
10. Vendors must declare at the time of sale if NOT registered for VAT.
11. Puppies may be sold privately and by auction, Vendors are reminded that an entry fee of £2.00 (inc. VAT)
per pup is required on arrival to the market.
12. NEW CUSTOMERS are requested to supply appropriate trade references
Vendors must collect lot number tickets from the office on arrival
Lot numbers must be displayed so that potential purchasers can identify catalogued dogs
