Principle of Operation:
A float on the liquid surface,
displaces certain volume of liquid
resulting therefore, in apparent
loss of weight. The apparent
weight of the float is balanced by
the pointer weight attached to the
measuring wire. Change in level
of liquid, results in the float being
raised or lowered by the
balancing action of the weight and
thus followed the liquid level. The
pointer moves vertically on the
graduated scale indicating the
level.
Measuring System:
A complete measuring system
consists of one graduated scale
with pointer, two sheave elbows,
one measuring rope, two guide
wires, one float, two top anchors,
one bottom anchor and a set of
socket and scale supports.
