Overview
The Maintenance Supplement Bundle (MSB) complements the HP Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version
2014.02.0. This MSB contains hot fixes, security releases and other updates released since SPP 2014.02.0. MSB’s
are used as an add-on to the latest released SPP.
Hot Fixes
This MSB contains the following Hot Fix:

Hot Fixes and their associated Customer Advisories are released between SPP releases. Hot Fix components are
tested against the current SPP.

Known Issues
The drivers for the HP Dynamic Smart Array Controller and HP H2xx SAS/SATA Host Bus Adapter will display and
install without hardware being present
The drivers for the HP Dynamic Smart Array Controller (hpvsa) and the HP H2xx SAS/SATA Host Bus Adapter
(mpt2sas) are listed in the review page in HPSUM even if the device isn’t present on the server. The drivers will
successfully install on the server but have no effect on the server.
HP QLogic Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters –Firmware Flash Component for VMware may Incorrectly Display
0.0.0.0 as the Active Version
All HP QLogic 4 Gb Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters may display “0.0.0.0” as the active version when the Firmware
Flash component for VMware is run. This is a display issue only and can be ignored. When run, the Firmware Flash
component will correctly flash the firmware on the target 4 Gb HBAs as expected.
Virtual Connect will not be listed as selected when inventoried
The Virtual Connect firmware component will not be listed as selected when the node is inventoried. To ensure
the firmware component is installed correctly, directly select the component.
Installation Instructions
BEFORE applying the 2014.04 MSB, please apply the 2014.02.0 SPP.
For example:


Save the 2014.04 MSB to a locally mounted drive
Run HP SUM 6.2.0 (on the SPP 2014.02.0, or as rpm downloaded from hp.com) in online mode


Add the 2014.04 MSB as the baseline
Apply this baseline to each node to be updated
Caution: Please note that in some cases dependencies required by the components in this MSB may not be carried
by the MSB and therefore must be used from the full SPP.
Support
Installation and use of this MSB will extend the support period of the current SPP. If the 2014.02.0 SPP is installed
and the MSB is as well, the support period for both will be extended to the end of April, 2015. The support period
covers both the SPP and the MSB provided the MSB has been installed. Please see the chart below for details.

Features Additions and Changes
 General
 Added Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) link support for accessing iLOs and
Interconnects.
 IPv6
 The OA fully supports operation in a mixed IPv4/IPv6 or IPv6-only management
network including management of IPv6-capable enclosure infrastructure
devices such as iLO and interconnect modules. To use IPv6 networking, you
should review the OA IPv6 settings and customize them as necessary for your
specific IPv6 environment. Note that if routing between IPv6 management
networks is required, the routing configuration of the OA and enclosure
infrastructure devices may be performed either via external IPv6 router
advertisements or, starting with OA 4.20, via static configuration of an IPv6
gateway. After completing the necessary IPv6 configuration of the OA, you may
then access any IPv6-capable enclosure infrastructure devices via its supported
user interfaces and perform management actions from the OA.
 Modified factory default state of IPv6 enclosure level settings (IPv6, DHCPv6,
and SLAAC) from "disabled" to "enabled" by default to better support default
connectivity to the OA in IPv6-only management network environments. Note
that updating to OA 4.20 will not change the configuration of these settings but
any subsequent reset to factory defaults will result in these settings being
enabled. Any previously saved OA configuration scripts should be updated
appropriately.
 Added support for configuration of a static IPv6 gateway as an addition to the
previously existing static IPv6 network settings for the OA module.
 Added support for configuration of an IPv6 gateway for blade server iLOs and

 In some instances, SNMP changes successfully configured from the OA user
interface can fail to be processed properly most notably resulting in the OA
failing to send SNMP traps to configured SNMP alert destinations.
