Electrogalvanized Ultra High Strength Steel
Docol 1400 MZE
General Product Description
Docol 1400 MZE is a cold-rolled, Ultra High Strength Steel that is heat-treated in a
continuous annealing line and finally electrogalvanized. The surface is supplied
with a zinc coating from 2.5-10.0 µm, on one or two sides, with appropriate post treatment. Docol 1400 MZE provides cost efficient solutions for components
requiring high corrosion protection at high strength levels.
Applications
Docol 1400 MZE is suitable for applications that require a combination of ultra-high
strength and corrosion resistance. Typical applications are safety components in
the automotive industry like cross members, bumpers, side impact door beams, sill
and tunnel reinforcements as well as battery protection for hybrid/E cars.
