Technical Data General Notes
Allowable tensile load capacity is 2000 lbs/ft based on minimum concrete
compressive strength of 3000 psi NW and a safety factor of 2.5. Applied loads
must be >2" from the end of strut. The minimum distance between the CIS strut
center line and the concrete edge is 5". The minimum cut length of strut is 16" to
achieve the allowable load. Hilti end caps item 00313377 must be used on field
cut ends. Field cuts must be located at typical locations as shown in the picture
to the right. Shorter lengths require “cast in end caps” and result in lower load
values.

Installation
Install in accordance with ANSI/MSS-SP-58. Place
knockout side down on form and nail in place. After
concrete pour, knockout can be removed with a
screwdriver. Rod should be threaded through the
inset nut until it tightens against the top of the insert.
