Since 1913 NEK Kabel has designed and manufactured cable for a wide
range of applications.
The experience and knowledge in the organization, together with research, development and design capabilities, enables NEK Kabel to
operate in the most demanding international markets for both standard
and tailor made cable.
This brochure includes some of the most important communication cable
designs for the marine- and offshore market. Most of the products are
approved by DNV and ABS, or will get an approval in the near future.
The superior mud compound being used, can be added onto any cable,
making them resistant to such extreme environments.
NEK Kabel is today represented in Norway, Finland, and the Far East,
permitting the company to deliver cable directly from a warehouse close
to the market.

LanMarin er en høyhastighets datakabel med fler-trådete ledere,
AWG23. Den har individuell parskjerm og felles flettet, fortinnet
skjerm. Kabelen oppfyller Cat7 kravene for 600MHz men er testet
opp til 1000MHz. LanMarin er produsert etter de krav som gjelder
for skip og offshore, og er ment brukt som horisontal kabel. Kabelen
oppfyller EMC-direktivet, er halogenfri og flammehemmet og med
gode kuldeegenskaper. Kabelen er godkjent og testet for klasse F-link.
LanMarin er DNV godkjent.
High performance offshore LAN cable with flexible conductor, AWG23/7.
The cable is fully compliant with the category 7 standards, requiring
bandwiths up to 600MHz. STP cable consists of individually screened
pairs with an overall braid. It complies to the EMC requirements for
screened cables. The cable is tested for high-frequency and transmission measurements for class F-link. The cable is DNV-certified.

Generic data transmission. This cable is a Cat7 S/FTP cable for
use as installation/horizontal cable in tougher electrical and mechanical environment, including ships and offshore units. The
cable is tested up to 900MHz and will give good margins for application like 10 Gigabit Ethernet at a bandwith up to 500MHz.
Singlemode fiber 2 fiber cable with aramid yarns strength, fulfill
the new ITU G.657 A2, G.657 B2 as well as G.652.A-B-C and D.
The fibrecable is very flexible, prefered for use in office installations,
for patch cords, interconnection cable and for Fibre-to -the-Home

tough electrical and mechanical environments. The cable fulfils the
EMC requirement. It has excellent cold resistant properties. The
cable is tested for high-frequency and transmission measurements
for class F-link. LanMarin MUD is DNV certified.

er laget av UV-og værbestandig materiale og kan utsettes i kortere

Kabelen er forsterket med flettet stålwire mellom inner- og ytre kappe.
Strekkelementer av glas garn rundt kabelkjernen gjør det enklere for
installasjon over lengre avstander. Fast kledning på 0,9mm gir en
rask og holdbar spleising og enkel montering av kontakter. Hver fiber
er fargekodet for enkel identifisering. Merking på ytterkappen viser
fiber- og kabeltype. Kabelen er DNV sertifisert.
Optical cable for industri environments. The cable is suitable for both
indoor and outdoor use. Continuos submergence in water is not
recommended. Outer jacket made of UV- and weather resistant materialand may be exposed for shorter periods to fluids such as diesel
and mineral oils (acc. to IEC 60811-2-1). The cable is reinforced with a
steel wire braiding between the two jackets. Strength elements of glas
yarn around the cable core allow easy installation of long lengths. The
0,9mm tight buffer is easy to strip allowing fast and reliable splicing and
connector mounting. Each fibre is colour coded for easy identification.
Outer jacket is marked to show fibre type and cable type. The cable
is DNV approved.

Optical cable for indoor and outdoor use in vital communication
and emergency systems that need to be operational during fire.
The cable is designed to ensure operation for more than 3 hours in
fires up to 1000ºC. The cable is halogen free and flame retardant to
protect against secondary damage to electronic equipment during
and after fire. Outer sheath is made from black UV-stabilized and
weather resistant material and may be exposed for shorter periods
to fluids such as diesel, petrol, glycol, etanol, white spirite and ASTM
oil 2. The resistance to these fluids is according to DOD-STD-1678,
method 8030.The cable is reinforced with a steel wire braiding. The
fibres are protected in jelly filled loose tubes stranded around a
central strength member to ensure optimum performance and long
life. Each fibre and loose tube is colour coded for easy identification
during splicing and termination. The outer sheath is marked to show
fibre type and cable type.

Bruksområde/Application:
Funksjonssikker fiberkabel med MUD-bestandig ytterkappe for innen- og utendørs bruk der kommunikasjon og signaler er viktig å
opprettholdes ved brann. Kabelen er konstruert for å fungere under
brann i minst 3 timer og varme opp til 1000°C. Ytterkappe1 er UV- og
værbestandig, og kan kortvarig utsettes for væsker som olje, bensin, glycol, etanol, whitesprite og hydraulikkolje. Kabelen har flettet
stålarmering, fiberene ligger i fettfylte rør og har fargekode for enkel
identifisering. Kabelen har en ekstra MUD-bestandig ytre kappe for å
gjøre den ekstra motstandsdyktig mot oljer og kjemikalier. Kabelen er
basert på QFCI med DNV-godkjenning for marine- og offshoreinstallasjoner. Kabelen er MUD bestandig i h.h.t NEK TS 606.
Optical cable for indoor and outdoor use in vital communication
and emergency systems that need to be operational during fire.
The cable is designed to ensure operation for more than 3 hours in
fires up to 1000ºC. The cable is halogen free and flame retardant to
protect against secondary damage to electronic equipment during
and after fire. Outer sheath is made from black UV-stabilized and
weather resistant material and may be exposed for shorter periods
to fluids such as diesel, petrol, glycol, etanol, white spirite and ASTM
oil 2. The resistance to these fluids is according to DOD-STD-1678,
method 8030.The cable is reinforced with a steel wire braiding. The
fibres are protected in jelly filled loose tubes stranded around a
central strength member to ensure optimum performance and long
life. Each fibre and loose tube is colour coded for easy identification
during splicing and termination. The outer sheath is marked to show
fibre type and cable type. The cable is based on QFCI with DNVapproval for marine and offshore installations. The cable is MUD
resistant according to NEK TS 606.
