NMR Discussion Group Spring Meeting 2014
NMR in Structural Biology
Date of meeting:
10-11 April 2014
Meeting venue:
Dept of Chemistry, University of Cambridge
Organisers:
James Keeler, David Neuhaus, Daniel Nietlispach
The NMR Discussion Group is organizing a two-day meeting, starting after lunch on
Thursday April 10 2014, and finishing mid-afternoon on the following day. The programme
will
cover
all
the
areas
in
structural
biology
where
NMR
is
currently making significant contributions.
Ad Bax (NIH, Bethesda) and Gerhard Wagner (Harvard) will be our headline
speakers, and the rest of the programme will consist of contributions from
scientists around Europe, both from well-established researchers as well as
some more junior colleagues. There will be a poster session.
In addition, there will be two lectures covering cognate areas which we feel will be of
interest to the NMR community. Sjors Scheres (MRC LMB) will be contributing a talk on
some spectacular recent improvements in electron cryo-microscopy, and Thomas Prisner
(Frankfurt) will be talking on recent developments in the application of EPR to structural
biology.
Overnight accommodation will be available in the nearby Downing College, and all of the
sessions will be held in the Department of Chemistry. A map of the venue for the NMRDG
meeting is shown below.
Details of registration will be available in summer 2013.
