Freight One provides freight transportation across the railway network of Russia and on
international routes within the 1,520 mm area.
Company has 14 branches offering client service covering the railway network in all
regions of Russia, subsidiary in Ukraine and joint venture in Finland.
HISTORY
July 26, 2007 — Freight One is created as a subsidiary of OJSC Russian Railways (RZD) under the railway
transport restructuring program.
December 2011 — Independent Transport Company (NTK, a member of UCL Holding) acquires a 75% stake in
OJSC «Freight One» from RZD. Freight One becomes the largest private railway freight operator in Europe and
the CIS.
December 2012 — NTK completes acquisition of the remaining 25% stake in OJSC «Freight One» from RZD.
In 2012 Independent Transport Company (NTK) and Freight One joined
operations.
The merger of the two players and transfer of railcar fleet management
function from NTK to Freight One brought a synergistic effect, a combination of the largest railcar fleet and the best business practices in the area
of operational efficiency and client service.

OJSC «Independent Transportation Company» provides railway transportation of cargoes in Russia and
abroad.
The company offers full range of services from development of optimum transportation schemes with minumal costs up to cargo supervision until destination
point, forwarding services in rail and sea shippings.
UCL Rail division has facility that is
jointly managed with Russian Railways Wagon depot Gryazi, located in Lipetsk
region. Depot main business is repair
and overhaul of various types of freight
railcars (gondola cars, platforms, pellets
hoppers, cement hoppers).
Since July 2010 Wagon depot Gryazi is
managed by OJSC «Independent Transportation Company».

In cooperation with the companies of UCL Holding «Universal Forwarder» performs transportation
of any types of cargoes by water, railway and road
transport, including opportunity of handling of cargoes at the anchorage. The company renders handling, transportation, forwarding, agenting and related services in the stevedoring company of UCL
Holding and also in other river and sea ports of Russian Federation, CIS and European countries.
Universal Forwarding Company (UFC) arranges logistic schemes and performs transportation forwarding of export and import cargoes as well as
handling of the cargoes in sea ports of Saint-Petersburg, Ust-Luga, Taganrog, Tuapse, Astrakhan,
Makhachkala, Novorossiisk, Yuzhniy, Nakhodka and
river ports of Tolyatti and Nizhnekamsk. The company also provides charter services at sea and river
transport.
Clients of «Universal Forwarder» are the biggest
Russian steel, ore-mining, grain, chemical, development and other companies.
Head office of UFC is located in Nicosia (Cyprus).
The company is the member of the International Association of Forwarders (FIATA) and Association of

Transportation Assets Management (T.A. Management) is the managing
company of UCL Holding, established to optimize the management of
Russian assets, as well as conduct a coordinated investment policy
within the group’s transport companies.
Key tasks:
• Improve operations management efficiency of essential Russian business units
• Coordinate the interaction between UCL Holding’s transport assets
• Develop strategies for Russian companies and key divisions
• Increase the efficiency of financial resources of UCL Holding’s Russian companies
• Improve investment performance efficiency.
Implementation of development program of the key UCL Holdings divisions, which working-out and adjusting are held in collaboration with
T.A. Management specialists, will allow to secure on the national basis:
• Renovation of the russian cargo fleet by means of construction of
modern vessels for river and sea transportation lines
• Attractiveness of russian ports for shippers due to the construction of
new high-performance port terminals, expansion of cargo range and
