Mogol Parkrun
Lephalale – The Mogol parkrun, event number 9 took place
on Saturday, 16 August 2014. Men’s Log: Caleb Khokhololo
(SM20-24) (Unattached) was first over the line in 17:09 - first
time in 4 appearances, Ernest Morolong (SM30-34) of Eskom
Athletic Club (Limpopo), was second over the line in 19:43 and
Tiaan Eygelaar (SM20-24) (Unattached) was third over the
line in 20:33. Current standing in the Men’s annual points
competition: Andre Stevens (Unattached) 679 pts, Coenraad
Pretorius (Unattached) 657 pts and Mmaphuti Solomon Moruni
(Unattached) 600 pts. Women’s Log: Benise Geyser (SW3034) of Mogol AC, was first (12th overall) over the line in 24:38
- third time in 6 appearances, Marietjie van der Walt (VW45-49)
(Unattached) was second (17th overall) over the line in 26:21 and
Lizinda Human (VW35-39) (Unattached) was third (19th overall)
over the line in 27:41. Current standing in the Women’s annual
points competition: Jolande Viljoen (Mogol AC) 789 pts, Elize
Combrinck (Unattached) 747 pts and Marietjie Nel (Mogol AC)
688 pts. The following runners recorded the best Age Grade
scores: Caleb Khokhololo (SM20-24) was graded 75.22% for
the time 17:09 (first overall), Ernest Morolong (SM30-34) was
graded 66.53% for the time 19:43 (second overall) and Erhard
Geyser (JM10) was graded 66.37% for the time 24:38 (11th
overall). This week there were 111 runners of whom 17 were first
timers, and 39 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives
of 4 different athletics clubs took part. Mogol parkrun started
on 14th June 2014 and since then 279 different
runners, including participants from 11 athletics
clubs, have completed 780 runs covering a total
distance of 3 900 km; there have been 241 new
Personal Bests. The women’s record is held by
Benise Geyser who ran in a time of 00:22:40
on 2014-06-14 (event number 1). The men’s
record is held by Mmaphuti Solomon Moruni who
ran in a time of 00:16:39 on 2014-07-19 (event
number 5). The Age Grade course record is held
by Mmaphuti Solomon Moruni who recorded a
77.48% run (16:39) on 19 July (event number 5).

Makoppa – Die Makoppa Boerevereniging het op Saterdag 16 Augustus ‘n
uiters geslaagde Makoppa/ Obaro Demonstrasie Boeredag te Sweet Home
Mountain Lodge aangebied. Daar was ongeveer 40 uitstallers wat ingesluit
het grondbewerkingsimplemente, bosindringing toerusting en veemiddels.
NTK koöperasie het ook hulle produkte uitgestal en Supa Quick het met
Firestone en Bridgestone produkte gespog.
