Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) &
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Building Information Models (BIM) are used by our experts
for developing projects. Virtual Design & Construction
(VDC) is an effective and efficient step forward. The
VDC approach, developed in cooperation with Stanford
University and the University of Delft, focuses on product,
process and organisation, before the actual design is made.
Royal HaskoningDHV uses integration rooms (iRooms), in
which we simulate the integrated approach using virtual
models that lead to the best design.
The VDC approach results in optimisation of quality, time,
costs, and risk reduction. It creates a smooth process with all
stakeholders and stimulates interaction and integration.
