Eduroam setup for Mac OSX 10.6.x - 10.9.x
You can find your version of OSX by clicking the Apple-logo in the top left corner of the
desktop.
Click on About this Mac and
check the version number in the
pop-up window.
If you have version 10.6.8
continue on page 4.
If you have version 10.7.x-10.9.x
continue the guide on this page.
Make sure you have all recent updates for OSX before continuing.
OSX Lion (10.7.x and 10.8.x) and Mavericks (10.9.x) :
Click the Apple-logo in the top left
corner of the desktop.
Click System Preferences.
Click Network.
Click Wi-Fi.
Click Turn Wi-Fi on.

Choose eduroam under Network
Name.
Type your 6-digit KU-username
followed by @ku.dk
Example: [email protected]
Type your KUnet password.
Click Join.
When the window Verify Certificate
pops up, click Continue.

Type your Mac username and
password.
Click Update Settings.
You are now connected to Eduroam.

OSX Snow Leopard (10.6.x) :
Click the Apple-logo in the top left corner of
the desktop.
Click System Preferences.
Click Network.

Click Advanced.
Choose the tap called 802.1X.
Click + in the bottom left corner.
Add a new user profile: eduroam
In the first box type your KU username
followed by @ku.dk
Example: [email protected]
Type your password.
Select PEAP.
In the Wi-Fi box choose eduroam.
In the security type box choose WPA2.
Click OK.

Click on Turn Airport on.
In the network name box choose: eduroam.
Click Connect.
Click Continue.

Type your Mac username and password.
Press OK.
If it says Authenticated via PEAP you are
connected to eduroam.
If not try clicking Connect bellow the text which
says 802.1X.
You are now connected to eduroam.
