worn with chipped ears and abbreviated spur on handle.
002._____ Nice PLUMB camp hatchet, with MERRY CHRISTMAS 1952 JIMMIE
CONNELLY engraved on head along with holly leaves and berries,
complete with leather sheath.
003._____ Pair of wooden planes: McKINNELL & CO. CIN'T O. screw arm sash plane,
one wedge looks homemade, good boxwood boxing, very good overall; and
an OHIO TOOL CO. No. 37 3/8-inch side bead marked MADE FOR

rosewood tote with partial STANLEY TOOLS decal, nice tall knob, fine
overall.
005._____ Stanley #18, Type 8 iron block plane, RULE & LEVEL-logo blade, complete
with intact throat adjuster lever, STANLEY lever cap, very good.
006._____ Stanley GAGE G5C self-setting plane with 65 percent plus japanning, fine
pitting on face of blade and cap screw from previous cleaning, a few chips
from edge of tote spur, good tall knob, very good usable condition.
007._____ Stanley #19 Type 10 iron block plane with knuckle jointed lever cap, good
Type T-logo blade, nice nickel on cap, very good.
008._____ Unusual Millers Falls No. 709 "Buck Rogers" smooth plane, marked PAT
PENDING on left side, very good.
009._____ Stanley GAGE G4 SELF SETTING iron smooth plane, a few patches of fine
pitting from a previous cleaning, splinter from left side of tote spur, good
tall knob, very good.
010._____ BAILEY VICTOR No. 4, 9-inch iron smooth plane, small crack in left side
from cap being screwed down too far, otherwise complete with nice
adjuster, nickel plated iron tote, nice font knob with LB VICTOR PLANE
logo cast into the top, decorative cap screw.
011._____ BAILEY VICTOR No. 11 1/2 carriage maker's combination rabbet and
smooth plane, has small crack in left side from cap being tightened too
tightly, and the right rear corner of the bed has been welded, blade and chip
breaker have light pitting; good lever cap; blade adjuster, tote and knob.
012._____ Stanley #55 universal combination plow plane with four boxes containing a
total 46 blades, includes auxiliary center bottom, the rosewood handle is
broken off of the left side fence, has nice main frame, sliding section, right
fence, beading stop, and four original cutter boxes with lids and faded
labels. Will make a great user. Needs a slitter, cam, six blades, and two
depth stops and a spur or two to complete.
013._____ Lot of seven OHIO TOOL CO. plow plane irons, all VG.
014._____ Stanley #50 light duty plow, late model with Stanley name on rosewood
handle, comes with all three main sections, rods, beading stop, five plow
blades and two beading blades, handle is cracked around the bottom pin,
will make a fine user.
015._____ Collins Legitimus fire axe, the handle has been cut off and will need to be
replaced.
016._____ Pair of bench planes: StS Siegley transitional jack plane has chip from tote
spur, otherwise complete and very good; plus a Stanley Two-Tone iron jack

048._____ Stanley marking gauge made to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the
Stanley Rule & Level Co. This one is in new condition in a like new
commemorative box.
049._____ Full box (1/2 dozen) Stanley #106 zig zag rules in the original box, all the
rules are absolutely new, the box is very good with an intact labels on top
and on the end and is VG.
050._____ Scarce limited edition Lie-Nielsen No. 1 smooth plane made to
commemorate the Stanley Tool Collectors Convention that was held in
June 17-19, 1993 at the Stanley Factory in New Britain and in Hartford,
Connecticut. This is plane #21 in a series that was limited at not more
than 250, the plane is in new never-used condition and the box is fine
too.
051._____ Full box (1/2 dozen) Stanley #06 zig zag rules in the original box, all the rules
are absolutely new, the box has some wear, a spot or two of moisture
staining, and a slightly soiled label.
052._____ MASTER No. 050 LONGBOY 50-foot steel tape measure with Automatic
Rewind, in original box, this is one of the earliest 50-foot steel tapes with
rewind, the tape itself is fine, the box has some moderate wear.
053._____ Stanley new old stock commemorative belt buckle featuring rules and made to
commemorate the Stanley company's 150 year in business, sealed in original
plastic bag inside a heavy shipping envelope.

074._____ Stanley #96 Type I blind nail plane, has AP'L 10-88 patent date in one side,
and STANLEY in other side, just add your own 1/4-inch chisel and it's
ready to work, fine overall.
075._____ Ultra scarce Hjorth Patent (U.S. No. 540,984) pull-cord hand or breast
drill made on a patent issued June 11, 1895 to Henrick Julius Hjorth of
Boston Massachusetts. This example has fine nickel plating, a nice apple
top handle that is marked PAT APL'D FOR, they don't get any better
unless found in original packaging, and we’ve never seen one of those.
076._____ YANKEE SLICER NO. 0 small tobacco plug cutter, just a trace of original
japanning remains, VG.
077._____ Copper glue pot 2-piece with three steel legs riveted to the sides with copper
rivets, nice wire bale, very good.
078._____ Nice copper eagle for a weathervane, about 24-inches between wing tips, and
19 inches from beak to tip of tail feathers, will need one or two solder joints
re-soldered before it can be used outdoors again, very good.
079._____ Brass 1 1/2-qt. pan with socket handle, marked MADE IN HONG KONG on
bottom, VG.
080._____ Nicely carved shore bird mounted to piece of drift? wood, nice coloring.
081._____ Lot of 25 hand carved figures most look like sailors fishermen, or pirates, a
few with peg legs; one of man in a doctor's coat standing next to a coffin.
082._____ Pair of wooden planes: Ohio Tool 1 1/4-inch jack rabbet with offset closed
handle, intact nickers, very good ovderall; and a 15 1/2-inch A.C.
BARTLETT'S OHIO PLANES (Sandusky) jack plane, complete and VG.
083._____ Winchester W14 rafter framing square, needs cleaning, very good.
084._____ Ohio Tool Co. No. 104 solid rosewood plow plane with fine body, very good
fence and skate, sliver from the inside lower face of the fence, the only
major detraction are the threads on the arms. They are badly chipped. Let
Jim Leamy make you a new set of arms, and you will have a fine top-shelf
plow.
085._____ Antique & Collectible Stanley Tools Guide to Identity & Value by John
Walter 1996 revised 885-page hardcover edition in jacket, fine overall.
086._____ Stanley No. 1 smooth plane, the smallest smoother in the Stanley lineup, this
one is complete and damage free except for the rosewood tote which is
chipped at the bottom and has had the spur reshaped, there is no damage to
the other parts, just put a new tote on it and it will be VG. (Photo & Photo 2

087._____ Stanley #35 transitional smooth plane that was restored at the factory and sold
to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the Company, the "restoration"
by the factory was not the best, but the plane they started with was likely
junk, has a brass tag on the left side.
088._____ Stanley A18 aluminum block plane, light pitting on lever cap, good SW-logo
blade, very good.
089._____ Stanley #39 1/2, 6-inch machinist level, has STANLEY and patent date in top
plate, very good.
090._____ Stanley #289 skew bladed rabbet plane, complete with proper fence and depth

others we have seen had the top loop of the lever cap broken off, so there
must have been a casting defect), this one has a nice original blade, good
japanning, just traces of light rust, will clean to very good.
099._____ Stanley Sweetheart belt buckle, limited edition produced by Alvin Sellens of
Augusta, Kansas. This is number 361 of 500 produced, complete and fine.

136._____ Unusual gear-adjusting tapered witchet or stale engine that will taper the
end of dowel, spoke, chair spindles, stretchers, etc. This one comes in
old maroon paint like Ohio Tool used on some of the iron planes they
produced, complete and fine. Also included is a modified C-clamp that
was found with this tool.
137._____ Wheeler Patent (U.S. No. 116,901) countersink with depth stop made on a
patent issued July 11, 1871 to Asa Wheeler of Brattleboro, VT. This one is
clearly marked WHEELER on the countersink and PAT'D JULY 11.71

150._____ Large 12-lb. brass plumb bob similar to those used by bridge builders
made by the late Gene Harp, a machinist and tool collector in Siloam
Springs Arkansas for his friend Bill Wooden of Tulsa, Oklahoma. This
beautiful bob has a double row of knurling on the removable cap, a
removable steel tip and shaft, displays well in a clear piece of plastic
tube or it can be hung by the steel cable that is currently installed in it.
Imposing in both its size and it's provenance, as both Harp and Wooden
left indelible marks on the old tool community.

nickel plated spring steel with a brass dial, VG.

153._____ Two mini wrenches: the smallest is marked BUFFUM TOOL CO.
LOUISIANA MO and has square opening on one end and and a round
opening on the other; the other wrench is a Civil War musket wrench.

155._____ Two pocket or bicycle-type nut wrenches: HERCULES 4 1/2-inch with wire
handle, very good; and a unknown 4-inch model with cast frame, VG.

162._____ Collins 150th Anniversary broad axe 1826 - 1976, a new-old-stock broad axe
that was made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the
Collins Company of axe makers.

164._____ Tall woven splint basket with folding wooden handles, nicely made with three
bands in the center stained a reddish color, VG.

say INDIAN BASKET, we have no idea how old they are.

and decorative marks stenciled in blue on side prior to firing, VG.

fabric pouch, the tag on it says it is a mountain climber's pick axe, unmarked

ratchet brace, all in very good or better condition. Other than one 8inch smooth plane and one MATHIESON & SONS wooden rabbet
plane, all the tools in this chest are complete and fine and show little
wear. Chest comes with original key for the working lock, and the
original owner's stamp Ge.(George) KERR.
