Innovative designs
mFLOR is a durable floorcovering that is characterised by its natural
appearance. Its wood and stone designs are indistinguishable in
appearance from real wood or stone floors. mFLOR is all about
innovation – designs that offer a natural appearance and the ability to
cover very large areas. Together, all of these factors ensure that
mFLOR floors draw much of their inspiration from nature itself.
The manufacturer’s own innovative designs and its use of the very
latest printing techniques also ensures that no strip or tile looks
exactly like any other. That is important, as in nature, everything is
unique and nothing is replicated in exactly the same form. It also
means that you will always have your own, highly individual
mFLOR floor.

mFLOR products are made from raw materials of the very highest
quality, which is one of the reasons why mFLOR creates floors that
not only are extremely attractive, but are also safe and durable.
mFLOR always takes care to ensure that only raw materials and
auxiliaries with low levels of chemical emissions are used. That way
mFLOR can ensure that the impact on the air quality in rooms where
our products have been installed and the exposure to chemical
components are kept to an absolute minimum. Because only the
purest vinyl is used, all mFLOR floors are consistently stable across the
whole surface.

In common with most interior building finishes the most significant impact on the
occupants will come from volatile compounds released into the internal climate. Energy
saving improvements in building insulation, heating and ventilating have reduced the
number of air changes in buildings. This makes it important to prevent the build-up of
harmful or uncomfortable compounds in the atmosphere.

Various European governments and US states have moved to create standards for the
concentration and type of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) permitted in the internal
climate, the German Deutsche Institut fur Bautechnik (DIBt) being the toughest. There
are also several private labelling schemes for this issue, such as the German Blaue Engel.
All of these standards are checked using a standardised laboratory test procedure.

choose, you can be sure that when it
comes to interior climate and indoor air
quality, you are choosing the very
highest quality.
The CE, the standard which is designed to align standards for products throughout the
European Community does not set a limit for VOCs in building materials, leaving this to the
legislation of the individual European states. Though from July 2013, in order to obtain
CE certification, products must be tested for VOC emissions and the results made available.
A feeling of safety that is certainly
worth having…
While the most serious concerns revolve around emissions, the European Community
also involves itself in the classification of chemicals which can be harmful for health or
the environment. The responsible body is the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), and
unlike VOC emissions, chemicals are classified centrally by the ECHA under European
Regulation No.1907/2006 through a system of Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation
and restriction of Chemicals (REACH).
All our products have always been produced to be compliant with the most stringent
standard required by the ECHA for plastic materials for building use, but from now on
will no longer utilize the plasticiser Di-isononyl phthalate and so also meet the
standard for plastic used in toys and childcare articles which can be placed in the
mouth by children. The suffix PU GREEN behind all our brand names relates to this
compliance with these REACH Regulations.

mFLOR and the environment
To minimise the confusion caused by all these standards, Eurofins, the premier
international testing laboratory, has devised its own more comprehensive Indoor Air
Quality standard which covers more substances and sets lower permissible limit values in
its Gold Standard than any of the individual national standards. This is shown below,
compared with those standards and the performance of mFLOR products.

mFLOR- glue down design floors
mFLOR offers vinyl flooring solutions with a wide range of collections
and high quality which will be glued down to the subfloor. mFLOR
design floors are built up from multiple layers of the highest quality
and most environmentally friendly materials to produce designs,
Wood, Stone, Concrete. mFLOR design floors are indistinguishable
from the original products, but wear better, are quieter and more
water resistant and easier to keep clean.
The mFLOR glue down design floors are available in 25-05, 20-03
and 20-02 collections.
25-05
The 25-05 collections are 2.5mm thick and have a
0.55mm wear layer which is suitable for commercial use.
20-03
The 20-03 collection are 2.0mm thick and have a 0.30mm
wear layer which can be used for medium commercial and
heavy household applications.
20-02
The 20-02 collection is 2.0mm thick and has a 0.20mm
wear layer and is suitable for household use.
All collections are provided with an additional protective layer of
polyurethane (PU), to provide extra protection during transport.

The tool contains a wide variety of photographs of interiors to choose
from and you can view any of them with the mFLOR
