The apostrophe should always be a RIGHT aposotrophe. (Figure 1) Do not use the chapter’s Greek name or the individual’s roster number. The Greek letters may appear in black, stone (PMS 430), metallic gold (PMS 871), and cardinal (PMS 186). The PMS colors may be converted to CMYK for four-color process printing. (Figure 2). Please use camera-ready artwork or electronic files. GREEK LETTER VARIATIONS FIGURE 3 ASF To identify a local chapter with the Greek letters, always center the name below the symbols. The typeface should be Georgia Bold, set to caps and small caps. The point size should be 1/4 the point size of the Greek letters. (Figure 3) Zeta Iota Chapter (As shown, Greek letters are 55 pt. and chapter is 13.75 pt.) ALPHA SIGMA PHI STYLE GUIDE 4 FIGURE 4 OFFICIAL SEAL The Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity seal is used in all official and formal fraternity settings. It may appear in black, stone (PMS 430), metallic gold (PMS 871), and cardinal (PMS 186). The PMS colors may be converted to CMYK for four-color process printing. FIGURE 5 OFFICIAL SEAL VARIATIONS It is acceptable to use the Alpha Sigma Phi seal as a stand-alone graphic. (Figure 4) Only Alpha Sigma Phi Headquarters is authorized to use the Alpha Sigma Phi seal with “Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity” The type should be centered below the seal in Ocean Sans, set to caps. It should appear in the same color as the seal. The point size should be 1/11 the size of the seal. (Figure 5) If a chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi desires to use the fraternity seal as an identifier, the chapter’s name and school must be set in the typeface Georgia Bold, set to caps and small caps, and centered below the seal. ALPHA SIGMA PHI FRATERNITY (As shown, seal size is 2 in x 2 in, font size 17 pt.) FIGURE 6 The chapter name lettering should appear in the same color as the seal. The chapter name point size should be 1/5 the size of the seal. (Figure 6) Please remember to keep seal and font sizes proportionate to one another. (As shown, seal size is 2 in x 2 in, font size 16 pt.) 5 ALPHA SIGMA PHI STYLE GUIDE FIGURE 7 CORRECT COLOR USAGE Black Stone PMS 430 The acceptable colors for use with Alpha Sigma Phi’s seal, tagline, and Greek letters are black, stone (PMS 430), metallic gold (PMS 871), and cardinal (PMS 186). No other colors should be used. (Figure 7) These colors can be created from CMYK as follows: Metallic Gold PMS 871 Cardinal PMS 186 Stone: C:45 M:33 Y:31 K:0 Metallic Gold: C:36 M:37 Y:70 K:6 Cardinal: C:4 M:100 Y:83 K:0 When printing in one color, the seal may print in all black, or in any one of the approved PMS colors. ADDITIONAL COLOR OPTIONS FIGURE 8 Dark Gold PMS 119 Orange PMS 144 The additional colors for use within design, letterheads, and envelopes are dark gold (PMS 119), orange (PMS 144), brown (PMS 168), and light gray (PMS 422). (Figure 8) These colors can be created from CMYK as follows: Brown PMS 168 Light Gray PMS 422 For undergraduates, a bolder and brighter red (PMS 032) may be used in place of cardinal. A brighter yellow (PMS 109) may be used in place of gold.
