What is CPESC?
The Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control is a designation that provides
evidence of qualifications in the fields of erosion and sediment control. CPESC
certification is available to those who have the educational training, as well as the
demonstrated expertise and experience in site planning and management, erosion
prediction, runoff management, soil stabilization, erosion control, and sediment control.

CPESC Process
Apply to take the Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) Exam through
Envirocert International and register for the full-day CPESC Review course and Exam, or participate in the
review session and take the exam at a later date. You can also sign up to take the exam only, if the course
was previously taken.
PLEASE NOTE: To take the CPESC certification exam, you must have received a letter of approval
from CPESC, Inc. Additional information and required forms are available at www.cpesc.org
All participants must bring their own CPESC Exam Review Course Workbook, and should review the
workbook prior to attending the Exam Review Session.

Marvin H. Sachse
P.E., CPSWQ, CESSWI, ToR, QSD/P, and is a CPSWQ and
CESSWI Instructor. Mr. Sachse is a regular instructor on storm
water compliance for the Association of General Contractors
(AGC), and the Building Industry Association (BIA). He conducts
storm water compliance workshops for major contractors, builders,
and municipal agencies throughout California. Mr. Sachse has
more than 15 years of experience with both the Construction and
Industrial Permits, and has an M.S. Industrial Engineering and an
M.S. in Environmental Engineering.
