The LAPD African American Community Forum was held at the Greater Community Missionary Baptist Church Great Room in Pacoima.
Dr. Dudley D. Chatman is the Pastor. The room was packed as community members gathered to hear from Police Chief Charlie Beck and
LA County District Attorney Jackie Lacey.
Valley Bureau Chief Jorge Villegas has worked hard to make certain that Valley residents have access to top ranking police
officials and the presence
Chief Beck clearly demonstrates that commitment.

Ms. Lacey was the Keynote Speaker at the 2013 San Fernando Valley MLK Community
Breakfast. She is a resident of the San Fernando Valley!
Ms. Lacey is the first African American and first female to serve in
the office of LA County District Attorney.
Candidate Lacey was a guest speaker at
the AALO Community Summit in June
2012.
District Attorney Jackie Lacey has spent most of her professional life as a
prosecutor, manager and executive in the Los Angeles County District
Attorney’s Office.
On Dec. 3, 2012, she was sworn in as District Attorney. Ms. Lacey oversees
roughly 1,000 lawyers, nearly 300 investigators and about 800 support
staff employees. She is the first woman and first African-American to serve
as Los Angeles County District Attorney since the office was created in
1850.
