Each Pre-K/VPK classroom is staffed with a certified teacher and a paraprofessional with an enrollment of 20
students.
Participating students have to meet the following requirements:
 Must live in the attendance area of the school with a Title I Pre-Kindergarten/VPK program
 Must be 4 years old on or before September 1st
The Title I Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) classrooms use the following curriculum:
 ELLM Plus (Early Literacy and Training Module Plus), a standards and research based literacy curriculum
 Waterford Early Learning Computer Program that is a research based instruction specifically designed for Pre-K
through second grade students
 Beyond Centers and Circle Time® Curriculum that provides rich, well planned and organized play opportunities
Summer Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK)
Each Summer VPK classroom is staffed with a certified teacher.
Participating students have to meet the following requirement:
 Child must turn 4 years old on or before September 1st.
Summer VPK is held at select schools offering 300 hours of classroom instruction time.
The Summer VPK classrooms use the following curriculum:

instruction specifically designed for Pre-K through second grade students
