Why choose an Advantage Alloy Ute Tray...

If you carry heavier loads on a regular basis on the back of a ute it makes sense to fit a lightweight alloy ute tray.
With more utility vehicles going onto New Zealand roads than ever before, the challenge is to select the tray that is best suited to the user’s
requirements. But, with so many options available, there is a danger that tradespeople, farmers and others may end up compromising the
capability of their work vehicle.
Most people overlook the fact that the latest alloy trays are designed and built strong enough to withstand the tough everyday usage it is likely
to be subjected to around construction and other work sites. And, due to their light weight they can carry heavier loads.
The Advantage range of alloy ute trays are suitable for most 1-tonne ute models and variants sold by leading vehicle manufacturers in New
Zealand, from single cab models, to crew cabs and double cabs.
Advantage alloy trays are tough and thanks to their durable, anodised finish, they won’t corrode, so will keep their looks for much longer. But,
the main advantage is their ability to haul extra loads.
Advantage ute trays are constructed from high-strength extruded alloy, which is a considerably lighter material than steel. Effectively, it means
the driver can carry up to 20% more load per trip when required. And, when it is not driven fully loaded, the lighter weight has another advantage, because it causes less wear and tear on the driveline components. Reduced weight also contributes to lower fuel consumption and
less wear and tear on the tyres.
Advantage alloy ute trays can be installed as a rigid tray on a vehicle’s cab/chassis or may be optioned with a tipping mechanism. A marine
grade plywood overlay can be specified to protect the alloy tray surface and to add grip to the tray when carrying awkward products. All Advantage alloy ute trays are anodised for long lasting good looks.
The Best Bars alloy tray range are all equipped with hinged drop sides to make loading and unloading easier, with exterior lash-down rails to
keep your load secure. A tough 63mm alloy headboard tube is standard, as are tail light guards, alloy mudguards , mudflaps and rack pegs.
A full range of accessories are also available to complement and customise Advantage alloy ute trays, including ladder racks, side toolboxes,
custom internal lashing points etc.

Advantage Alloy ute Trays are designed, extruded and heavy anodised to suit New Zealand’s harsh conditions. The heavy anodising
allows for a harder wearing surface and does not fade or dull off like mill finished materials. All fasteners are stainless steel with
nyloc nuts and hinges are fitted with nylon bushes to help eliminate rattle. Advantage alloy ute trays come complete with mesh cab
protector, tail light guards and our comprehensive warranty.

All alloy components are anodized to prevent early corrosion.
•
The base construction comes pre-assembled.
•
The sides and rear gate come pre-assembled.
•
All major components are pre-drilled for ease of assembly.
•
The headboard tube is polished in a matt finish. It is pre-drilled to be flexible for different heights mounting.
•
All hinges contain a plastic bush to prevent rattle noise.
•
The side gates and rear gate have one hinge 20mm longer to provide better lead in onto the base of the tray.
•
The long hinges contain a R-clip to prevent the gates ability to slip of the tray base.
•
The cab protector is made of alloy and powder coated to match the alloy appearance.
•
The headboard tube contains two vertical pins (distance is 1232, 16mm diameter) for overhead load transport.
•
Light guards and standard brackets for tail lights are provided
•
Number plate bracket is provided as a standard item
•
A fuel filler mounting bracket is provided.
•
Rope rails are supported with a number of brackets to resist movements of heavy loads.
•
Anti-luce locks are used to secure gates closed.
•
Mud guards are single wings with stays – positioned onto the chassis where appropriate.
•
Mud flaps are supplied as standard.
•
The deck comes with mounting brackets and fastener kits to mount it onto vehicle.
•
Most components are available as Spare Parts if required.
