WELCOME
As Dean of the Faculty of Music I am pleased to welcome
you to Laurier’s 2014-15 concert series. We are presenting
an outstanding array of concerts by students, alumni,
faculty, and guest artists. This season we feature over
100 performances, including student recitals, large
ensemble concerts, our noon-hour series on Thursdays,
and more than thirty graduating student recitals in the
spring. The vast majority of these performances are
IN THIS GUIDE
free to the public.
2014 | 2015 Ensemble Concerts | 4
This year, rather than a Gala concert, we will feature nine
consecutive days of Stravinsky concerts, seminars, lectures
and workshops. This is an ambitious undertaking meant
to draw various strands of our curriculum together and to
provide the public with unique insights into one of the
most important musical figures of the 20th century. It has
been thrilling to see the concert season come together
over the past few months.

to seeing you at our concerts and other events throughout
