Project Current Stage
Phase 1: Project analysis, conception and initiation
The vision behind the project
Exploring the potentials of technologies, systems and methods of computer-vision,
algorithms, science and technology of imaging, combined with immersive Virtual
Reality (VR), simulation and real-time interactive systems and AR, which can provide
context and possibilities for experimental approaches and novel design to engage
audiences in the cultural heritage, to learn and communicate from the field of art and
architecture inside and outside the museum.
Project Design Objective
This design will combine and integrate new media within physical and virtual
architecture and environments,interactive technology, visualization projection system,
computer graphics, holography, 3D printed scenarios, video mapping, immersive
audiovisual scenography, virtual narrative and digital storytelling based in cultural
heritage content.
Project Motivation
A driven motivation behind this project is to address the MUCEM as a cultural
Interface and social agent, stimulating and enhancing cultural, historical, social and
human knowledge and cohesion, while also contributing to generate societal and
economic benefits.
