Have copies of at least three (3) good letters of recommendation from teachers, employers or mentors. Be able to show documented proof of community or volunteer service. Know your current cumulative GPA. Know your SAT or ACT scores or be preparing to take the SAT or ACT. Write a one to two page essay that highlights your strengths and touches on the following information: o Academic Achievements o School Activities o Community Services o Unique Achievements o Leadership Qualities This essay can be used over-and-over to apply for multiple scholarships so take the time to make the best! Helpful Hints for Completing Applications: Print all worksheets/applications and prepare a draft before completing online. Transcripts are available from the Guidance Office. Attendance reports are available from the Attendance Office. "Deadline" means scholarship application is due at individual scholarship office, NOT postmarked on deadline date. Every college and university offers scholarships and financial aid. It is recommended you contact your favorite college or university early in your college planning.
