Raiffeisen Centrobank für Produkt-Innovation am rumänischen Kapitalmarkt
ausgezeichnet
Wien/Bukarest – Die Raiffeisen Centrobank AG (RCB) wurde anlässlich der jährlich
stattfindenden Capital Markets Award-Verleihung der Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB)
vorgestern Abend in den Bukarester Fratelli Studios als „Innovativster Produktanbieter“ am
rumänischen Kapitalmarkt ausgezeichnet. Grund für die Verleihung war das erstmalige Listing
von Optionsscheinen an der BVB, das die RCB in Kooperation mit der lokalen Raiffeisenbank
Rumänien im März 2016 erfolgreich durchführte. Damit wurde es rumänischen Investoren
erstmals möglich, mit Hebel in lokale rumänische Basiswerte zu investieren und sowohl von
steigenden als auch fallenden Märkten zu profitieren. Darüber hinaus wurde durch das Listing
der 30 RCB Optionsscheine erstmals die Absicherung gegen fallende Kurse lokaler Aktien am
rumänischen Kapitalmarkt ermöglicht.
„Wir freuen uns sehr über diese Anerkennung, zeigt sie doch, wie sehr unser Produkt-Knowhow vor Ort geschätzt wird. Unser Commitment zum rumänischen Markt wird dadurch
sicherlich noch weiter gestärkt“, resümiert RCB CEO Wilhelm Celeda.
Die Verleihung fand im Rahmen der feierlichen Eröffnung des Börsenjahres 2017 statt. Mit der
Vergabe der Awards ehrt die BVB alljährlich das Engagement jener Börsenteilnehmer, die im
vergangenen Jahr den größten Beitrag zur Entwicklung des rumänischen Kapitalmarktes
beigetragen haben. Für die RCB war das bereits die dritte internationale Auszeichnung in
Serie im noch jungen Jahr 2017.

Raiffeisen Centrobank awarded for product innovation on Romanian capital market
Vienna/Bucharest – Raiffeisen Centrobank AG (RCB) was awarded as “Most innovative
Product Provider” on the Romanian Capital Market at this year’s Capital Markets Awards that
are organized annually by Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB). The award ceremony took place
on Tuesday evening at the Fratelli Studios in Bucharest. The reason why RCB received the
award was a premiere that the Austrian issuing house was responsible for: the first listing of
warrants at BCB, which RCB successfully conducted in joint cooperation with the local
Raiffeisen Bank in Romania in March 2016. Thus Romanian investors had for the first time the
opportunity to invest with leverage in local Romanian underlyings and to benefit from falling as
well as rising markets. Moreover, the newly listed warrants provided for the first time hedging
opportunities against falling prices of local shares.
“We are very pleased to receive this award, as it shows how much our product know-how is
appreciated in Romania. It certainly will increase our commitment to the Romanian market
even further”, RCB CEO Wilhelm Celeda sums up.
Held since 2014, the Inauguration of the Stock Exchange Year is the early event organized by
the Bucharest Stock Exchange in order to celebrate the beginning of the new investment year.
During the event, awards are given away in order to acknowledge the biggest contributors to
the development of the capital market in 2016. For RCB this is the third international award it
received already in 2017.
