text declarations in the German language. If necessary, please get support from an interpreter or translator and also during
your visit to the authorities when completing the form.

General information for the completion of the registration form when giving notice of a change of
address
a) When changing residence within Germany there is no obligation to give notice of a change of address.
b) Anyone who
aa)
only gives up one of several homes in Germany, without moving into a new home,
bb)
moves abroad or
cc)
moves out of their home, without moving into a new home in Germany within one month,
must give notice of a change of address within two weeks. If you do not observe this deadline, you are committing an
administrative offence which is punishable with a fine. The registration form must be completed truthfully, in full and be
clearly legible and signed by you.
c) The legal basis is formed by Articles 10 and 13 of the Saxon Registration Act (SächsMG).
d) A registration form must be completed by each person who is giving notice of a change of address. If members of a family
are giving notice of a change of address who previously lived and in future will live in the same home, only one registration
form should be used, which must be signed by one of the people subject to registration who are of legal age. In cases of
more than six persons giving notice of a change of address please use another registration form. Giving notice of a change
of address can take place by submission or by sending the fully completed and signed registration form.
e) Bans on disclosing information and transfer:
A ban on disclosing information is entered into the resident register on request, if you are able to substantiate facts to the
registration office that a danger to life, health, personal freedom or similar interests warranting protection to you or another
person can arise through an enquiry from the resident register. The ban on disclosing information only applies to the home
which you apply for and which has been entered in the resident register. It is free of charge and ends with the expiry of the
second calendar year following the application. It can be extended on request.

Explanations for the completion of the form when giving notice of a change of address

When moving abroad only the country is required.
When giving up a home in Germany you must decide whether it or which of the remaining home(s) are the only residence,
main residence or secondary residence.
You can al so provide your address abroad voluntarily here.

Nationality (nationalities): If you have several nationalities, all must be entered.
(3)
Date and location of the marriage or the formation of the partnership: You are not required to provide information if you
are divorced or widowed at the time of the change of address or the partnership has already been annulled.

Religious community: Here the membership of a religious community under public law is to be entered. Please use
common abbreviations or the following abbreviations:
