Stroke and recovery of function:
how to overcome the roadblock?
Chair:
Prof. Dr. Tim Hucho
Dear Colleagues,
Functional recovery poses a central aim and challenge
to clinicians and basic researchers alike. But decades
of cellular and clinical research on ischemia induced neuronal damage has proven, how hard it is to
translate basic research knowledge into improved
clinical therapy.
On December 1st, Prof. Dr. Gereon Fink will pose
the question “Stroke and recovery of function:
how to overcome the roadblock?” What is
currently missing? Can changing the perspective
help to improve therapy?
