technology
Theory (focus 1/2):
1. Operation principle and special features of the Palas® aerosol spectrometers
2. Application areas of the welas® digital and Promo® systems, selection of the sensors
3. Operation principle of the nanoparticle measurement instruments
a. Condensation particle counter (UF-CPC system)
b. Aerosol electrometer (Charme®)
c. Universal scanning mobility particle sizer (U-SMPS system)
4. Special features, combination possibilities (U-RANGE 2000) and application areas of
the nanoparticle measurement instruments
Practice (focus 1/2):
1. Start-up of different Palas® aerosol spectrometers (welas® digital system, Promo®
system, presentation of the software)
2. Remote control and operation of the measurement instruments
3. Measurement with an optical light scattering spectrometer and detection and
avoidance of coincidence
4. Possibilities of the software evaluation of the data
5. Practice oriented measurements with the condensation particle counter system UFCPC and the U-SMPS system
6. Maintenance and calibration of all instruments
