麻疹（はしか）に関する注意喚起
この度、厚生労働省より麻疹患者の届出数が増加していることが情報提供されております。
麻疹の潜伏期は 10～12 日で，免疫を持っていない人が感染するとほぼ１００％発症します。時には重篤
な合併症をおこすことがあり，年齢にかかわらず命に関わる感染症です。
予防にはワクチンの接種が重要で，２回接種することでほぼ確実な免疫を得ることができるといわれて
います。本学の在校生の多くは免疫能を持っており広範な集団発生は生じないと考えられますが，なお
未接種で免疫を持っていない学生もいます。特に２０歳代後半以降は，麻疹ワクチンが集団から個別接
種になった年代で，麻疹ワクチン接種ができていないか，一度の接種だけで抗体が低下している世代で
す。つきましては下記の件についてご協力をお願いいたします。

これまで麻疹ワクチンを１回のみ接種した方、もしくは接種歴の無い方は免疫力を高めるた
めに最寄りの医療機関でワクチンを接種することを強くお勧めします。

「麻疹」が疑われる症状がある場合は、医療機関へ電話連絡をし、症状及び「麻疹」の罹患経
験がないことを伝えたうえで診療を受けてください。

麻疹と診断されたら必ず保健管理センター（TEL:795-7829, e-mail: [email protected]）まで
ご連絡下さい。
麻疹の特徴
◆空気感染・飛沫感染・接触感染をし、感染力は強力です。
◆ウイルスに感染後１０日前後の潜伏期間を経て発症。高熱、咳、鼻汁など風邪症状が２-４日続いた後、
全身に赤い発疹（はっしん）が広がり、時に肺炎や脳炎など重症化もあります。
◆発疹出現後５日間は感染力があり、学校保健安全法では解熱後３日間は出席停止期間です。

Measles Warning
According to information provided by the Ministry of Health Labour and Welfare, the number of reported
measles cases is rising.
The incubation period for measles is 10 to 12 days. Those with no immunity have a nearly 100%
chance of contracting the disease if exposed. It can be life-threatening, regardless of age, due to its
serious complications.
Preventative vaccination is therefore crucial. A series of two vaccinationshots confers almost complete
immunity to the disease. While most of the students enrolled at Tohoku University are already immune,
making a mass outbreak unlikely, some students have not been vaccinated and may have no immunity. In
particular, students born in areas where each type of vaccination is/wasperformed individually might not
be vaccinated, or might have only taken the first of the two vaccination shots, and have little or no
resistance. Therefore, we ask for cooperation regarding the following.
1. If you have had only one measles vaccination shot, or have never been vaccinated, we strongly
recommend that you undergo vaccination at any nearby hospital/clinic.
2. If you have any measles-like symptoms, please call your hospital/clinic. Describe your symptoms
and explain that you have never had measles before.
3. If you are diagnosed with measles, please be sure to inform the Student Health Care Center (phone:
795-7829 or e-mail: [email protected]).
Characteristics of Measles
z
Measles is highly infectious. It can be spread through the air, airborne droplets, and skin contact.
z
The virus incubates for about 10 days, after which symptoms occur. The symptoms are similar to that
of a cold, and include high fever, coughing, and runny nose. After 2 to 4 days, red blisters spread all
over the body. In serious cases, it can develop into pneumonia or encephalitis.
z
The disease is highly infectious for 5 days after the appearance of blisters. The School Health and
Safety Act forbids anyone with measles from attending classes for 3 days after the fever subsides.
