CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR
YOUNG WOMEN WHO ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE
AURORA YOUNG PHILANTHROPIST OF THE YEAR AWARD
Aurora Women & Girls Foundation, Inc. is seeking nominations for young women (between the ages of
14 to 18 years old) who are doing great things in their communities – who are “giving back” and making
a difference. Whether cleaning up a beach, working in a food pantry, raising funds for a local shelter,
teaching a group of kids to dance, we are looking for a young woman who is providing leadership and
inspiration to help change her community. Aurora wants to recognize a young woman who has identified
a need or issue in her community and has actively addressed the problem.
The Aurora Young Philanthropist of the Year Award was created to recognize young women who are
leaders in their communities. We are looking for a special young woman who has demonstrated
excellence in community activities – raising money, supporting a cause, volunteering – i.e., making a
difference in the lives of her family and neighbors and in the Greater Hartford region.
The honoree will be recognized as the Aurora’s 2014 Young Philanthropist of the Year at our annual
breakfast on October 15, 2014. She will have an opportunity to share her experiences with breakfast
attendees and she will receive a monetary award.
A simple nomination form is required and due by May 1, 2014.
