Anmeldung des Meistergewerbes “Schleifer und Feilenhauer” des Firmengründers Isidor Braun und Registrierung im Kirchenbunch der Stadt Konstanz am
Bodensee.
EINFÜHRUNG UND GESCHICHTE
Oberösterreich ist ein prädestiniertes Land für die Feilenproduktion, denn aus Hallstatt stammen die ersten prähistorischen Funde von Feilen, die bisher
bekannt wurden.
Die Firma I. Braun’s Shöne wurde im Jahr 1792 gegründet und übersiedelfe nach Oberöstrreich im jahr 1848. Die Vorfahren stammen aus Konstanz am
Bodensee, wo schon Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts ein Feilenbearbeitungsbetrieb geführt wurde.
In diesem Werk vereinen sich Tradition und technischer Fortschritt. Die technische Einrichtung und erfahrene Fachkräfte sind eine Garantie für die Qualität,
für die Gleichmäβigkeit der Form und das einwandfreie Aussehen.
Fachleute in Industrie, Handwerk, Land-, Furst- und Bauwirtschaft verwenden unsere BLU-DAN-Feilen seit Jahrzehnten. Darüber hinaus hat der weltweite
Trend zum Heimwerkertum der Feile und Raspel einen neuen Konsumentenkreis erschlossen, der noch stark ausbaufähig ist.
Seit 1952 ist die Marke BLU-DAN ein Qualitätsbegriff. Nach eingehender Prüfung durch unabhängige Stellen wurde BLU-DAN das Qualitätssiegel “Osterreichische Qualitätsmarke” zuerkannt. BLU-DAN ist heute in aller Welt bekannt.
In Europa gab es 2 grosse Feilenfabriken im Familienbesitz die Firma I. Brauns Soehne in Oesterreich seit 1792 und die Firma Tomé Feteira seit 1856 mit einst
1500 Mitarbeitern. Wir haben die Firma Tomé Feteira mit Standort Portugal uebernommen, da es leider mit den hohen Kosten unmoeglich ist, eine Feilenproduktion in Oesterreich am Leben zu erhalten. Die Firma I. Brauns Soehne existiert daher in Oesterreich nicht mehr. Tomé Feteira ist eine hoch spezialisierte
Firma in der Feilen und Raspel - Herstellung. Das Know How zweier Betriebe, die Tradition mit neuester Innovation und die uebersiedelten Maschinen aus
Oesterreich machen es uns moeglich hervorragende Qualitaetsprodukte herzustellen. Unsere Marke BLUDAN ist weltbekannt und steht fuer Qualitaet und
Bestaendigkeit.
Durch dazugewonnenes Know How ist es uns nun auch moeglich besser auf die Nachfrage von Sonderfeilen und Spezialanfertigungen einzugehen. Teilen

INTRODUCTION AND HISTORICAL SKETCH
Prehistoric files were found in Hallstatt, therefore by nature Upper-Austria has been a country for file production up to the present day.
I. Braun’s Söhne File company was established in 1792 and moved to Upper-Austria in 1848. Their ancestors came from lake Constanz where a file production
was started at the end of the 18th Century.
This File company is an amalgamation of tradition and technical skill.
At the present time, the combination of technical equipment and skilled, experienced workmen, is a guarantee of a uniform product of the best quality and
perfect finish.
Craftsmen in industry and trade, as well as agriculture, forestry, building and construction, have been using our files for over a century. The World wide trend
to D.I.Y. has developed a rapidly increasing market for high quality steel files and rasps.
Since 1952, the trade mark BLU-DAN has been a synonym for quality. After several tests by independent authorities, BLU-DAN was been awarded the quality
seal “ÖSTERREICHISHUE QUALITÄTSMARKE”. BLU-DAN is now known all over the word.
In Europe there were 2 big file companies owned by families: the company I. Braun's Söhne in Austria since 1792 and the company Tomé Feteira since 1856,
with 1500 workers some years ago. We bought the company Tomé Feteira situated in Portugal, as it was not possible any more to run a file production in
Austria because of the high costs. The company I. Braun's Söhne has moved for this reason to Portugal. Tomé Feteira is highly specialized in the production of
Files and Rasps.
The Know How, of these 2 files companies, the tradition combined with constant innovation and the production machines that we moved from Austria to
Portugal make it possible for us to produce excellent quality products. Our trade marks Bludan and Tomé Feteira are known all over the world.

BLUDAN
DIE FEILE
ALLGEMEINES
Die Feile stellt ein spanabhebendes Werkzeug dar, mit dem fast alle
Werkstoffe bearbeitet werden können, und es seien hier nur Metalle,
Holz, Kunststoffe und Leder herausgegriffen.
ZUM BESTELLEN
Für die klaglose Ausführung von Bestellungen sind folgende Angaben
erforderlich:
1) Name oder Form der und/oder Katalognummer
2) Länge in mm oder Zoll
Mit wenigen Ausnahmen wird der Feilenkörper ohne Angel gemessen,
wobei ein engl. Zoll mit 25 mm zu berechnen ist.
3) Hiebart, wobei anzuführen ist, ob die Feilen ein- oder kreuzhiebig zu
behauen sind und welche Hiebfeinheit gewünscht wird.
Werkstattfeilen werden im allgemeinen kreuzhiebig gefertigt mit Unterund Oberhieb. Sägefeilen einhiebig nur mit Oberhieb.
Für Werkstattfeilen, Sägefeilen und Raspeln sind die Bezeichnungen
bastard (Hieb 1), halbschlicht (Hieb 2), schlicht (Hieb 3), doppelschlicht
(Hieb 4), bei manchen Sorten (Hieb 0), gangbar. Präzissionsfeilenhieb Nr.
000-6 (bastard = 00, schlicht = 1).
Exportverpackung
In Papier, Kartons und Überkartons oder Holzkisten dutzend- und
halbdutzendweise (ab 350 mm).
Alle Preise gelten bei Abnahme ganzer Verpackungseinheiten. Für
Bestellungen, die von Packnorm abweichen, werden 15% Aufschlag
berechnet. Falls nicht anders vorgeschrieben, werden wir lhre Aufträge
auf ganze Verpackungseinheiten erhöhen.
Maβe und Gewichte dieses Kataloges sind unverbindlich und in
Anlehnung an ISO und ÖNORM erstellt.
Toleranzen nach ISO und ÖNORM:
Feilen
≤ 150 mm, Breite ± 1,6 mm,
Stärke ± 0,8 mm
und
Raspeln ≥ 150 mm, Breite und Stärke ± 1,6 mm
Sonderwünsche werden bei entsprechendem Bedarf ebenfalls gern
erfüllt, es werden jeweils die Gestehungskosten verrechnet, ein Muster
ist erbeten.
THE STEEL FILE
GENERAL INFORMATION
Files and raps are tools used for filing and cutting of all kinds of
material: e.g. metal, wood, plastics, leather, etc.
IMPORTANT WHEN ORDERING
To avoid delay when ordering, it is necessary for buyers to stipulate
the following:
1) Name or kind of the tool and/or catalogue number.
2) Length in inches or mm, which is nearly always measured exclusive
of the tang. 1 inch = 25mm.
3) Cut with reference to coarseness of the teeth and the kind of cut –
single or double cut. Machinist’s Files are usually double cut with
over and up cut. Saw Files – single cut.
The terms for coarseness of the teeth for Machinist’s Files, Saw Files
and Rasps are : bastard (cut1), second cut (cut 2), smooth (cut 3),
dead smooth (cut4), for same kind coarse, rough (cut 0). For Precision
files cuts No. 000-6 (bastard =00, smooth =1).
Export packing
The files and rasps are wrapped in paper, packed up in card-board
boxes of a dozen (or half dozen), and staked in export boxes or
wooden cases.
All prices are for carton quantities only. A 15% surcharge will be
invoiced on split cartons. Unless otherwise informed we shall
increase your orders to packing units.

Geschichte:
Im Jahr 1985 hat das “Royal Institue of Technology in Stockholm” die
Unfallstatistik im Bereich des Bawesens untersucht. Es wurde entdeckt,
dass eine der häufigsten Verletzugen durch den Arbeiter selbst passiert,
indem er sich mit einer Bügelsäge in seine Häande schneidet. Der Grund
dafür ist, dass die Bügelsäge bis heute nur einen großen Zahn für
schnelles Sägen besitzt.
Background
In 1985 the Royal Institute of Techonology in Stockolm investigated the
constructing business. They discovered that one of the most common
injuries was that the workers cut themselves in their hands with a
bowsaw. The reason for that bowsaws until today only was avaiable with
big teeth for fast cut.
Mit Smart Cut ist dieses Problem Geschichte.
Mit einer patentierten basiert auf computergestuerte Produktion wird
ein Sägeblatt mit Kleinen für einen sicheren Start, mittler Zähne für
hohe Präzession und große Zähne für einenschnellen Schnitt, alle dem
gleichen Sägeblett gefertigt.
