However, there they meet Dima, played by Stellan Skarsgård, a Russian oligarch who swiftly embroils them in his dangerous world. “There’s something very attractive about Dima to Perry,” says McGregor. “Dima’s living life very large and Perry’s attracted to that.” The film itself is lavish, taking viewers on a journey across Russia and Europe. “What drew me to the film was the visual aspect of it,” says director Susanna White, who shot in several locations, including London, Finland, Paris, the Swiss Alps and Morocco. Atkinson might seem an unlikely choice for the sombre role, and indeed the actor himself even had doubts. “Maigret’s just an ordinary guy doing an extraordinary job, in a very interesting time. I found that daunting,” he says. Atkinson’s performance is spellbinding, as is the gripping tale of a mastermind killer on the loose. 152 Actress and writer Rachel Bloom enjoyed a low profile until she earned a Golden Globe with her lead role in musical-comedy, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”, which she co-wrote with Aline Brosh McKenna. The show follows Rebecca Bunch, a successful woman who gives up her life in New York and follows her old summer camp crush to a small town in California. “When we were pitching the show we called it ‘Ally McBeal’ meets ‘Flight of the Conchords’.
