Welcome to DCSMAT Business School!
Our heartiest congratulations to you on getting selected for the PGDM Programme at
DCSMAT Business School. DCSMAT family once again cordially welcomes you to the
campus and wishes you a wonderful learning experience and memorable stay during the
coming two years.
1. We commence classes on Monday, 2nd July 2012. Students are advised to report to
the campus before noon, Sunday 1st July 2012. Transportation facility will be
made available from Admissions office, Kottayam on 1st July 2012 at 9.00 AM for
those who want it. Prior information is essential to make use of this arrangement.
The information has to be given to the Admission Office at Kottayam (Mob:
9846869231) before 15th June 2012.
2. You are required to pay the balance fees for the 1st year on or before 30th June 2012
as per Annexure 1.
We have already forwarded the necessary papers and documents for availing Bank
loan. If you haven’t applied so far and want those papers, please intimate us the name
and address of the concerned Bank immediately to the Admissions Office (Mob:
9745607093).
3. As you are already aware, we adopt a course structure giving equal importance to
application based learning and co-curricular learning which shall foster overall
development of each individual. Since we have an E-Learning system, laptops are
compulsory. If you have already bought the laptop please bring the same on 1st July
2012.
4. We have an ATM of State Bank of India inside the campus. Students are advised to
open a Savings account at State Bank of India to make use of this facility.
5. The hostel is furnished with cot, mattress and chair. The campus has a mini store
where regular supplies of essentials are available. Considering the climatic conditions
of the location and the requirements of the hostel, you are advised to bring the
following essential items, which shall be handy during your stay here: Winter clothes
 Bed sheets, Pillow & Cover
 Blankets
 Torch, Umbrella
 Toiletries
Those who require double occupancy in the hostel are required to inform in advance
to the admissions office (Mob: 98461 33338). Please note that this facility is strictly
subject to availability.
6. The route to the DCSMAT campus at present are:
From Ernakulam: approx. 95 km
Ernakulam-Muvattupuzha-Thodupuzha-Moolamattom-DCSMAT
There is KSRTC bus service from Thodupuzha to DCSMAT.
Bus Timings are: 7.10 AM, 8.30 A.M, 10.45 AM (Pullikkanam) 12.00 PM, 2.20 PM,
3.30 PM.
From Kottayam : approx 80 km
Kottayam-Pala-Erattupetta-Teekoy-Vagamon-Pullikkanam
From Kumily Side : About 36 km from Kuttikkanam
Kumily-Peermedu-Kuttikkanam-Elappara-Vagamon-Pullikkanam
There is KSRTC bus service from Erattupetta to Pullikkanam.
Bus Timings are: 5.45 AM, 03.30 PM, 06.15 PM
7. Lunch shall be provided up to two persons accompanying the students. Any additional
requirement is to be informed in advance to the Admissions office, Kottayam (Mob:
9745607093).
8. The following documents should be submitted at the College Office on 1st July 2012:


Course Registration Form (format enclosed). Every column to be carefully
filled in by the candidate.
Original Certificates/Documents as per the check list given in page no. 6 of the
Course Registration Form. (Students are advised to keep sufficient copies of all
certificates for your future requirements before submitting it to the College. The
original certificates will be returned only after completion of the course or for
extreme emergencies)
One attested (by a gazetted officer) copy of all original certificates except TC
and Conduct Certificate.
9. The admission granted is provisional subject to meeting all the eligibility criteria
specified by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Minimum
requirement is a bachelors degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline from
a recognized University with 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates eligible for
concession in qualifying marks are required to submit community certificate in
original at the time of admission.
10. Except for Saturdays and Sundays, formal dress code is compulsory within the
campus. Since we have frequent cultural programmes, those who are active in these
fields are requested to bring instruments/costumes that may be used for such
occasions.
