VENTIpower provides Weinmann therapy devices
with electricity supply-independent power.
2 Carrying handle
The carrying handle is used for transporting the
device.
3 On/Off button
This button is used to activate the VENTIpower.
Pressing it briefly also gives an indication of the
battery capacity.
4 Connecting cable (black)
This connecting cable is both for charging the
VENTIpower and for operating the VENTImotion,
VENTImotion 2, VENTIlogic and BiLevel ST 22.
5 Connecting cable 24 V (gray)
This connecting cable is for operating the
VENTIlogic LS and the VENTIlogic plus up to serial
number 9999.
6 Capacity indicator
Five LEDs indicate the current battery capacity if the
On/Off button is pressed or if the VENTIpower is
being charged.
7 Charging indicator (VENTIpower)
This indicator lights up if the VENTIpower is being
charged.
8 Charging cable
The charging cable is connected to the black
connecting cable of the VENTIpower to charge the
VENTIpower using the charger unit.
9 Charger unit
The charger unit is used to charge the VENTIpower.

1. Description
1.1 Uses
The VENTIpower provides an independent power supply for the VENTImotion,
VENTIlogic, BiLevel ST 22, VENTImotion 2, VENTIlogic plus and VENTIlogic LS
therapy devices. It may be used as the sole source of power or as an emergency
supply in the event of power failure.
The VENTIpower is not intended for an uninterrupted power supply (UPS).
Always use the VENTIpower only for the purpose described here.
1.2 Function
Operation with the therapy devices
Before the start of therapy, the VENTIpower must be switched on by pressing the
On/Off button and remains switched on throughout the entire duration of
therapy. If the electricity supply fails with a therapy device connected, the
VENTIpower automatically starts supplying power to the therapy device (does not
apply to BiLevel ST 22). After the end of therapy or once mains power has been
restored, the VENTIpower can be switched off by pressing the On/Off button.
Charger unit
A charger unit is supplied with the VENTIpower and is used to charge the
VENTIpower via the black connecting cable. The VENTIpower must be disconnected from the therapy device for charging.
•
In the case of operation with the VENTImotion, VENTImotion 2,
VENTIlogic and BiLevel ST 22 therapy devices, the black connecting cable also serves to supply power to the therapy devices.
•
When operated with the VENTIlogic LS and VENTIlogic plus therapy devices, the black connecting cable is only for charging
VENTIpower. The therapy device, on the other hand, is supplied
with power via the gray connecting cable.

Full discharge warning
If the capacity of the VENTIpower drops below 20 %, a visual warning signal is
issued. If the VENTIpower is fully discharged, an acoustic warning signal is also
issued. These warning signals allow the user to recharge the VENTIpower in good
time to avoid full discharge and thus damage to the rechargeable battery.

2. Safety instructions
2.1 Safety rules
Please read these instructions for use carefully. They are an integral part of the
device and must be kept available for reference at all times. You should also
consult the instructions for use for your therapy device, oxygen system and all
accessories.
For your own safety, the safety of your patients, and to comply with the
requirements of EU Directive 93/42/EEC, please observe the following points:
Operating the device
Warning!
•
The VENTIpower must be switched on before the start of therapy
by pressing the On/Off button for the VENTIpower to supply the
therapy device with power automatically in the case of a power
failure (does not apply to BiLevel ST 22).
•
Live parts! Never open the VENTIpower yourself. Risk of electric
shock.
Caution!
•
Ventilation failure possible! If the VENTIpower triggers a visual
warning signal, battery capacity is below 10 %. Keep an alternative ventilation option or alternative power supply for the therapy
device to hand.
•
Always use the device only for the purpose described in “1.1
Uses” on page 7.
•
It is essential to charge the VENTIpower when it has a capacity of
below 20 % to prevent full discharge and thus damage to the
rechargeable battery.
•
To prevent infection or bacterial contamination, follow the
instructions in “4. Hygiene preparation” on page 18.
•
Do not switch on the VENTIpower or the charger unit after moving it from a cold room (< 0 °C) into a warm one. The resulting

condensation could damage the device. Wait until the units have
warmed up to room temperature.
•
Use the VENTIpower and the charger unit only in dry rooms or dry
surroundings.
•
Do not allow liquids to enter the therapy device or the housing of
the VENTIpower or the charger unit. This could damage the electronic system.
•
The VENTIpower and the charger unit heat up during operation.
Do not cover up the devices. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight. Otherwise there is a risk of damage to your device through
overheating. Operation of the VENTIpower with the bag closed is
only permitted in the carrying bags of the VENTImotion/
VENTIlogic (WM 24888) and the VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus
(WM 27706).
•
Ensure that the ventilation slots of the VENTIpower are not
covered, otherwise there may be damage to the device.
Note
•
The VENTIclick humidifier can be operated simultaneously with
the VENTIpower on all VENTI therapy devices. However, be aware
that the humidifier cannot be heated when the VENTI therapy
devices are operated.
•
It is recommended that the VENTIclick humidifier is not used
when operating the BiLevel ST 22 with the VENTIpower, as this
reduces the time for which the therapy device can be operated.

Caution!

If third-party items are used, functional failures may occur and fitness for use may be restricted. Biocompatibility requirements may
also not be met. Please note that in such cases, any claim under
warranty and liability will be voided if neither the accessories nor
genuine replacement parts recommended in the instructions for
use are used.
•
Always have repairs carried out by the manufacturer – Weinmann
– or consult your specialist dealer.

3. Operation
3.1 Charging the VENTIpower
The VENTIpower must be charged before being used for the first time. The
VENTIpower must also be charged if the yellow LED of the capacity indicator is
flashing or an acoustic warning signal is issued (see “3.2 Capacity (operating time)
of the VENTIpower” on page 12). After full discharge, the charging process takes
about 4 hours. Use only the charger unit supplied, WM 23006. Proceed as
follows:
Caution!
•
Charging at below 0 °C or above 40 °C may damage the rechargeable battery. Before you start charging, make sure that the
VENTIpower and the charger unit have reached room temperature.
•
The VENTIpower heats up during charging and operation. Let the
VENTIpower cool off between operating and charging to prevent
overheating.

1. Connect one end of the black connecting cable
1 to the VENTIpower and the other end to the
charging cable 2 of the charger unit.
2. Use the power cord to connect the charger unit
to a wall socket. The charging indicator on the
VENTIpower lights up. At the same time, the
corresponding LEDs in the capacity indicator
light up depending on charging level.

3.2 Capacity (operating time) of the VENTIpower
The capacity of the VENTIpower is indicated continuously while operating with
the therapy device and while charging is in progress. The capacity indicator
consists of five LEDs. The more LEDs light up, the higher is the capacity of the
VENTIpower.
The table below applies to devices with a battery capacity of 9 Ah. The details
about this can be found on the device plate.

Note
As the VENTIpower gets older, the capacity indicator becomes less accurate. There are technical reasons for this, and it does not indicate
any malfunction. To restore the accuracy of the indicator, you should
calibrate the capacity indicator after about every 50 charges, as described in “7.2 Calibrate capacity indicator” on page 23.

3.3 Operation with the therapy device
Attention!
The VENTIpower must be switched on before the start of therapy by

3. Connect the black connecting cable of the
VENTIpower to the corresponding socket on the
side of the therapy device. On the BiLevel ST 22
and VENTImotion 2, the socket is on the rear of
the therapy device (see adjacent drawing).

Operation with the VENTIlogic LS and the VENTIlogic plus
1. Make sure the VENTIpower is fully charged. If
necessary, recharge the VENTIpower with the
charger unit supplied.
2. Set up your therapy device and any accessories
as described in the relevant instructions for use.
3. Connect the gray connecting cable of the
VENTIpower to the corresponding socket on the
side of the therapy device.
4. Briefly press the On/Off button
to switch on the VENTIpower. The
charging status LEDs are permanently on and display the corresponding
charge status.
5. To stop the power supply from the VENTIpower, hold down the On/Off
button
for about 2 seconds. The VENTIpower switches off.
3.4 Operation in the bag (VENTImotion/
VENTIlogic)
You can use the VENTImotion/VENTIlogic carrying bag WM 24888 to transport
the VENTIpower and the VENTImotion/VENTIlogic safely. You can even operate
the devices in the bag. Prepare the devices and bag as follows:
Attention!
Never run the VENTI-O2 and VENTI-O2 plus oxygen switching valves,
which are available as accessories, in the bag. There is a fire risk. In
the event of a fault, oxygen may accumulate in the bag.

1. Important: Open the ventilation flap on the rear
of the bag (black arrow) to enable the therapy
device to take in fresh air when the bag is closed.
Lay the flap flat on the base of the bag.
2. Place both devices in the bag as shown in the
adjacent diagram. Take particular care that the
connecting cable is correctly routed (dotted
arrow).
3. Make sure that the VENTIpower is right against
the base of the bag, as shown in the adjacent
diagram (black arrow). Then secure the devices
with the Velcro-type tapes.
4. Close the lid of the bag and open the tube
connection compartment in the lid.
5. Connect the tube system to the device outlet.
You can now operate VENTIpower and the
therapy device as described in these instructions
for use and the instructions for use for the
therapy device.
Note:
The compartment provided for the VENTIpower in the bag contains a strap. If
you do not want to transport the VENTIpower, you can use this strap for
secure storage of the VENTIclick humidifier, which is available as an accessory.
3.5 Operation in the bag (VENTIlogic LS/
VENTIlogic plus)
VENTIlogic LS and VENTIlogic plus have two bags, a closed protective bag
(WM 27106) and a carrying bag which is open at the side (WM 27706).
Attention!
Never operate the VENTIpower in the protective bag for the
VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus. The device may overheat.
You can operate VENTIpower together with the therapy device in the carrying bag
(WM 27706) of the VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus. To do so, prepare the devices
and the carrying bag as follows:

Operation
1. Open the cover of the carrying bag and place the
VENTIpower and the therapy device in the compartments provided for them in the carrying bag,
as shown in the adjacent diagram. Take particular care that the connecting cable is correctly
routed (dotted arrow).
2. Make sure that the VENTIpower is right against
the base of the bag, as shown in the adjacent
diagram (black arrow). Then secure the devices
with the Velcro-type tapes.
3. Close the lid of the carrying bag and open the
tube connection compartment in the lid.
4. Connect the tube system to the device outlet.
You can now operate VENTIpower and the
therapy device as described in these instructions
for use and the instructions for use for the
VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus.
3.6 Using the VENTIclick humidifier
Caution!
Do not transport the therapy device with the VENTIclick humidifier fitted. Otherwise residual water from the VENTIclick may run into the
therapy device and damage it.
The VENTIclick humidifier can be operated simultaneously with the VENTIpower on
all VENTI therapy devices. However, be aware that the humidifier cannot be heated
when the VENTI therapy devices are operated.
The VENTIclick humidifier can be heated if the BiLevel ST 22 is operated with the
VENTIpower. However, be aware that this reduces the operating time of the
therapy device.

4. Hygiene preparation
4.1 Intervals
Clean the housing at regular intervals, depending on how dirty it gets.
4.2 Cleaning and Disinfecting
Attention!
•
Before cleaning, disconnect the VENTIpower and the charger unit
from the power supply.
•
Never immerse the devices in water or any other fluid.
Cleaning the housings
Wipe clean the housing and connecting cable of the VENTIpower and the charger
unit with a soft damp cloth. All parts must be completely dry before operation.
Disinfecting the housings
Wipe down the housing and connecting cable of the VENTIpower and the charger
unit using a disinfectant. We recommend TERRALIN®. You are recommended to
wear suitable gloves (e.g. household or disposable gloves) during disinfection
procedures.
4.3 Change of patient
Before any change of patient, clean and disinfect the housings and connecting
cable of the VENTIpower and the charger unit.

check reveals any faults, do not use the VENTIpower again until the fault has been
rectified.

you switch on. The device is ready for operation if all
LEDs in the control panel light up briefly and the battery capacity is then displayed (cf. “3.2 Capacity (operating time) of the VENTIpower” on page 12).
Warning!
Live parts! Never open the VENTIpower yourself. Risk of electric shock.
If the capacity is not displayed, the rechargeable battery of the VENTIpower is
faulty. In this case the rechargeable battery can no longer be used. To prevent
damage due to leakage of corrosive liquid, consult a specialist dealer immediately
to have the battery replaced and disposed of. See also the section “7.4 Disposal”
on page 25.

Checking operation with the VENTImotion/VENTImotion 2/
VENTIlogic
1. Connect the VENTIpower to the therapy device. Do not connect the therapy
device to the electricity supply yet.
2. Switch on VENTIpower and connect the therapy device to the electricity supply. The VENTIpower is working properly if the charge status LEDs are permanently on.
3. Now disconnect the power supply plug of the therapy device; the device
switches off. VENTIpower is working correctly if the therapy device starts operating again after approx. 4 seconds.
4. Restore the electricity supply to the therapy device.
If one of these functions is not working properly, please consult your specialist
dealer or the manufacturer – Weinmann – about getting the device repaired.
Checking operation with the BiLevel ST 22
1. Connect the VENTIpower to the therapy device and switch on the
VENTIpower.
2. The therapy device and VENTIpower are working correctly if the therapy device can be operated as with power from the electricity supply.
If one of these functions is not working properly, please consult your specialist
dealer or the manufacturer – Weinmann – about getting the device repaired.
Checking operation with the VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus
1. Connect the VENTIpower to the therapy device.
2. Switch on VENTIpower and connect the therapy device to the electricity supply. The VENTIpower is working properly if the charge status LEDs are permanently on.
3. Now disconnect the power supply plug for the therapy device. VENTIpower is
working correctly if the therapy device continues to operate without interruption and the symbol for VENTIpower appears in the display of the therapy
device.

4. Restore the electricity supply to the therapy device. The VENTIpower is working properly if the therapy device continues to operate without interruption
and the LEDs to show charging level are continuously lit.

7.2 Calibrate capacity indicator
The longer the VENTIpower is used, the less accurate the capacity indicator
becomes. To restore the best possible display accuracy, the VENTIpower needs to
be fully discharged. To do so, proceed as follows:
•
Run the VENTImotion, VENTImotion 2, VENTIlogic or
BiLevel ST 22 devices with the VENTIpower until the VENTIpower
is fully discharged and switches off. After the VENTIpower switches off, the therapy devices trigger a visual and an acoustic alarm
(power failure alarm).
•
Operate the VENTIlogic LS and VENTIlogic plus therapy devices
with VENTIpower until VENTIpower is fully discharged. Once
VENTIpower has discharged, the internal battery of the therapy
device starts supplying power. The therapy device issues a visual
and an acoustic alarm after switching to the internal power supply. The display "VENTIpower failure" appears.
Then fully charge the VENTIpower again. The capacity indicator now offers the
best possible accuracy.

7.3 Investigate reduction in capacity
As the VENTIpower gets older, the capacity and hence the maximum operating
time of the device falls off. There are technical reasons for this, and it does not
indicate any malfunction. If your device repeatedly undershoots its maximum
operating time (see “3.2 Capacity (operating time) of the VENTIpower” on
page 12), by a significant margin, despite having been fully charged, you should
check the capacity fall-off of the VENTIpower. To do so, proceed as follows:

If the present capacity of your device is 60% or less, you should have the battery
replaced by Weinmann or a specialist dealer to ensure reliable operation of the
therapy device.

7.4 Disposal
Do not dispose of the VENTIpower or the charger
unit as domestic refuse. To ensure proper disposal,
consult an authorised and certified electronic scrap
recovery firm. You can find out their address from
your environmental officer or your municipal authorities. The battery must be removed from the device
for separate disposal.
Disposing of rechargeable batteries
Used batteries may not be disposed of in domestic
waste. Please contact Weinmann or your local
authority's disposal service.

1. Descripción del aparato
1.1 Finalidad de uso
VENTIpower sirve para la alimentación eléctrica independiente de la red de los
aparatos de terapia VENTImotion, VENTIlogic, BiLevel ST 22, VENTImotion 2,
VENTIlogic plus y VENTIlogic LS. Se puede utilizar como fuente de corriente única
o como alimentación de repuesto en caso de fallo de la red eléctrica.
VENTIpower no está previsto para un sistema de alimentación ininterrumpido
(SAI).
Utilice el VENTIpower únicamente para la finalidad que se describe aquí.
1.2 Descripción del funcionamiento
Funcionamiento con los aparatos de terapia
VENTIpower se tiene que conectar antes de iniciar la terapia, pulsando la tecla de
encendido/apagado, y permanece conectado en toda la duración de la terapia. En
caso de que fallara la alimentación de la red eléctrica con el aparato de terapia
conectado, VENTIpower asume automáticamente la alimentación del aparato de
terapia (no válido para BiLevel ST 22). Al finalizar la terapia o al restablecerse la
alimentación de la red eléctrica, VENTIpower se puede desconectar pulsando la
tecla de encendido/apagado.
Cargador
El volumen de suministro de VENTIpower incluye un cargador con el cual el
VENTIpower se carga a través del cable de conexión negro. Es necesario separar
VENTIpower del aparato de terapia para el proceso de carga.

En el funcionamiento con los aparatos de terapia VENTImotion,
VENTImotion 2, VENTIlogic y BiLevel ST 22, el cable de conexión
negro sirve también para la alimentación de los aparatos de
terapia.

En el funcionamiento con el aparato de terapia VENTIlogic LS y
VENTIlogic plus, el cable de conexión negro sirve para cargar el
VENTIpower. La alimentación del aparato de terapia, por su parte,
tiene lugar a través del cable de conexión gris.
Alarma de descarga completa
Si la capacidad de VENTIpower desciende por debajo del 20 %, se activa una
señal de advertencia óptica. Si VENTIpower está totalmente descargado, se activa
adicionalmente una señal de advertencia acústica. Estas señales de advertencia
acústica permiten al usuario recargar VENTIpower a tiempo y evitar la descarga
completa y, en consecuencia, daños en la batería.

2.1 Disposiciones de seguridad
Lea con atención este manual de instrucciones. Forman parte del aparato y deben
estar disponibles en todo momento. Tenga en cuenta también el manual de
instrucciones del aparato de terapia, del sistema de oxígeno y de todos los
accesorios.
Por su propia seguridad personal, así como por la de sus pacientes, y para cumplir
con los requerimientos estipulados en la Directiva 93/42/CEE, observe los
siguientes puntos:

¡Advertencia!
•
VENTIpower se tiene que conectar antes de iniciar la terapia pulsando la tecla de encendido/apagado para asegurar que VENTIpower
asuma automáticamente la alimentación del aparato de terapia en
caso de fallo de la red eléctrica (no válido para BiLevel ST 22).
•
¡Piezas conductoras de corriente! Nunca abra VENTIpower usted
mismo. Existe peligro de electrocución.
¡Precaución!

¡Posibilidad de un fallo de la ventilación! Cuando VENTIpower activa una señal de advertencia óptica, la capacidad de la batería es
inferior al 10 %. Mantenga preparada una posibilidad de ventilación alternativa o una alimentación eléctrica alternativa para el
aparato de terapia.
•
Utilice el aparato exclusivamente para la finalidad que se ha
descrito („1.1 Finalidad de uso“ en la página 38).
•
Es absolutamente necesario recargar VENTIpower al alcanzar una
capacidad de menos del 20 % para evitar una descarga completa
y, en consecuencia, daños en la batería.
•
Para evitar una infección o una contaminación bacteriana, observe el apartado “4. Acondicionamiento higiénico” en la
página 51.

Indicaciones de seguridad
•
No encienda el VENTIpower ni el cargador cuando se haya trasladado de una sala fría (< 0 °C) a otra caliente. El agua de condensación que se produce puede estropear el aparato. Espere hasta
que el aparato se haya calentado a la temperatura ambiente.
•
Utilice el VENTIpower y el cargador únicamente en salas secas o
en ambientes secos.
•
Evite que penetren líquidos en el aparato de terapia y en la carcasa del VENTIpower y del cargador. El sistema electrónico podría
resultar dañado.
•
El VENTIpower y el cargador se calientan durante el funcionamiento. No cubra el aparato y evite la radiación solar directa. De
lo contrario pueden producirse daños en el aparato debido al calentamiento excesivo. El funcionamiento de VENTIpower también
con la bolsa cerrada sólo se permite en las bolsas de transporte
de VENTImotion o VENTIlogic (WM 24888) y de VENTIlogic LS/
VENTIlogic plus (WM 27706).
•
Preste atención a que las ranuras de ventilación del VENTIpower
no estén cubiertas. De lo contrario pueden dañarse los aparatos.
Nota:
•
El humidificador VENTIclick se puede utilizar con VENTIpower en
los aparatos de terapia VENTI a la vez. Sin embargo, observe que,
durante el funcionamiento de los aparatos de terapia VENTI, no
es posible usar la calefacción del humidificador.
•
Se recomienda no utilizar el humidificador VENTIclick durante el
funcionamiento de BiLevel ST 22 con VENTIpower, dado que en
este caso se reduce el tiempo de funcionamiento del aparato de
terapia.

garantía o de indemnización si no utiliza los accesorios recomendados en el manual de instrucciones ni las piezas de repuesto originales.

Encargue la reparación del aparato únicamente al fabricante
Weinmann, o bien póngase en contacto con su distribuidor

3. Manejo
3.1 Carga del VENTIpower
VENTIpower se tiene que cargar antes del primer uso. Además es necesario
recargar VENTIpower cuando parpadea el LED amarillo del indicador de capacidad
o se emite una señal de advertencia acústica (ver “3.2 Capacidad (duración del
funcionamiento) del VENTIpower” en la página 44). Cuando se haya descargado
completamente, el proceso de carga dura aproximadamente 4 horas. Utilice
exclusivamente el cargador suministrado WM 23006. Proceda del modo
siguiente:
¡Precaución!
•
La realización de procesos de carga a temperaturas inferiores a
0° C o superiores a 40° C puede dañar la batería. Antes de empezar el proceso de carga, asegúrese de que el VENTIpower y el
cargador hayan alcanzado la temperatura ambiente.
•
El VENTIpower se calienta durante el proceso de carga y durante
el funcionamiento. Deje que se enfríe el VENTIpower entre el funcionamiento y el proceso de carga, para evitar que se caliente en
exceso.

3.3 Funcionamiento en el aparato de terapia
¡Advertencia!
VENTIpower se tiene que conectar antes de iniciar la terapia pulsando
la tecla de encendido/apagado para asegurar que VENTIpower asuma
automáticamente la alimentación del aparato de terapia en caso de
fallo de la red eléctrica (no válido para BiLevel ST 22).
¡Precaución!
•
¡Posibilidad de un fallo de la ventilación! Cuando VENTIpower activa una señal de advertencia óptica, la capacidad de la batería es
inferior al 10 %. Mantenga preparada una posibilidad de ventilación alternativa o una alimentación eléctrica alternativa para el
aparato de terapia.
•
Sólo se debe desconectar VENTIpower del aparato de terapia
cuando ambos aparatos estén apagados. De lo contrario puede
producirse una pérdida de datos en el aparato de terapia.
Funcionamiento con VENTImotion, VENTImotion 2, VENTIlogic y

1. Asegúrese de que el VENTIpower está cargado
completamente. En caso necesario, vuelva a

utilizar los aparatos dentro de la bolsa. Prepare los aparatos y la bolsa del siguiente
modo:
¡Advertencia!
Las válvulas de conexión de oxígeno VENTI-O2 y VENTI-O2 plus, disponibles como accesorios, no se deben hacer funcionar nunca en la
bolsa. Existe peligro de incendio. En caso de avería, se puede acumular oxígeno en la bolsa.
1. Importante: Abra la solapa de ventilación de la
parte trasera de la bolsa (flecha negra) para que
el aparato de terapia pueda aspirar aire fresco
con la bolsa cerrada. Coloque la solapa plana
sobre la base de la bolsa.
2. Coloque ambos aparatos en la bolsa, tal como se
representa en la ilustración contigua. Preste
especial atención a que el cable de conexión esté
colocado correctamente (flecha punteada).
3. Asegúrese de que el VENTIpower esté colocado
completamente sobre la base de la bolsa, tal
como se representa en la ilustración contigua
(flecha negra). A continuación, sujete el aparato
con las cintas de velcro.
4. Cierre la tapa de la bolsa y abra el

3.5 Funcionamiento dentro de la bolsa
(VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus)
VENTIlogic LS y VENTIlogic plus disponen de dos bolsas: una bolsa de protección cerrada (WM 27106) y una bolsa de transporte abierta lateralmente (WM 27706).
¡Advertencia!
No utilice VENTIpower nunca en la bolsa de protección de
VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus. El aparato se puede sobrecalentar.
VENTIpower se puede utilizar junto con el aparato de terapia en la bolsa de transporte (WM 27706) de VENTIlogic LS/VENTIlogic plus. Prepare los aparatos y la bolsa de transporte del siguiente modo:
1. Abra la tapa de la bolsa de transporte y coloque

3.6 Uso del humidificador VENTIclick
¡Precaución!
No transporte el aparato de terapia con el humidificador VENTIclick
montado. De lo contrario, el agua residual de VENTIclick puede introducirse en el aparato de terapia, dañando este último.
El humidificador VENTIclick se puede utilizar con VENTIpower en los aparatos de
terapia VENTI a la vez. Sin embargo, observe que, durante el funcionamiento de
los aparatos de terapia VENTI, no es posible usar la calefacción del humidificador.
Durante el funcionamiento de BiLevel ST 22 con VENTIpower es posible usar la calefacción del humidificador VENTIclick. Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que de este
modo se reduce el tiempo de funcionamiento del aparato de terapia.

4. Acondicionamiento higiénico
4.1 Plazos
La carcasa debe limpiarse a intervalos regulares, dependiendo de lo sucia que
esté.
4.2 Limpieza / Desinfección
¡Advertencia!
•
Antes de proceder a la limpieza, desenchufe de la corriente
eléctrica el VENTIpower y el cargador.
•
¡En ningún caso debe sumergir el aparato en agua ni en ningún
otro líquido!
Limpieza de la carcasa
Limpie la carcasa, el cable de conexión del VENTIpower y el cargador utilizando
un paño suave humedecido. Antes de la puesta en funcionamiento, todas las
piezas deben estar completamente secas.
Desinfección de la carcasa
Limpie la carcasa y el cable de conexión de VENTIpower y el cargador con un
desinfectante. Recomendamos TERRALIN®. Se recomienda llevar guantes
adecuados (p. ej., guantes para fregar o guantes desechables) para la
desinfección.
4.3 Cambio de paciente
Antes de un cambio de paciente debe limpiarse y desinfectarse la carcasa y el
cable de conexión del VENTIpower y el cargador.

3. A continuación, desenchufe la clavija de red del aparato de terapia de la toma
de corriente; el aparato se apaga. VENTIpower trabaja correctamente si el aparato de terapia vuelve a entrar en funcionamiento al cabo de aprox. 4 segundos.
4. Restablezca la alimentación de red del aparato de terapia.
En caso de que falle alguna de estas funciones, diríjase a su distribuidor
especializado o al fabricante Weinmann, con el fin de que se repare el aparato.
Comprobar el funcionamiento con BiLevel ST 22
1. Conecte VENTIpower al aparato de terapia y encienda VENTIpower.
2. El aparato de terapia y VENTIpower trabajan correctamente si el funcionamiento del
aparato de terapia es posible de la misma forma que con la alimentación de red.
En caso de que falle alguna de estas funciones, diríjase a su distribuidor
especializado o al fabricante Weinmann, con el fin de que se repare el aparato.

7.2 Calibración del indicador de capacidad
Conforme avanza la duración del funcionamiento del VENTIpower, el indicador de
capacidad pierde precisión. Proceda del siguiente modo para recuperar la
precisión del indicador: Para restablecer la máxima precisión de indicación,
VENTIpower se tiene que descargar por completo. Para ello, proceda del modo
siguiente:

Siga utilizando los aparatos de terapia VENTImotion,
VENTImotion 2, VENTIlogic o BiLevel ST 22 con VENTIpower hasta que VENTIpower esté totalmente descargado y se desconecte.
Tras la desconexión de VENTIpower, los aparatos de terapia activan una alarma óptica y acústica (alarma de fallo de corriente).

Siga utilizando los aparatos de terapia VENTIlogic LS y VENTIlogic
plus con VENTIpower hasta que VENTIpower esté totalmente descargado. Una vez que VENTIpower esté descargado, la batería interna del aparato de terapia asume la alimentación eléctrica. Tras
la conmutación a la alimentación eléctrica interna, el aparato de
terapia activa una alarma óptica y acústica. En el display aparece
la indicación "Fallo VENTIpower".
A continuación, vuelva a cargar completamente el VENTIpower. Ahora el
indicador de capacidad tiene la mayor precisión posible.

7.3 Comprobar la reducción de la capacidad
Conforme avanza la vida útil del VENTIpower, se reduce la capacidad y con ello la
máxima duración de funcionamiento del aparato. Esto se debe a condiciones técnicas y no representa un fallo de funcionamiento. En caso de que su aparato no
llegue a alcanzar la máxima duración de funcionamiento repetidamente (ver "3.2
Capacidad (duración del funcionamiento) del VENTIpower" en la página 44), a
pesar de haber realizado completamente el proceso de carga, debe comprobar la
reducción de la capacidad de VENTIpower. Para ello, proceda del modo siguiente:

7.4 Eliminación
No elimine el VENTIpower ni el cargador tirándolos a
la basura doméstica. Para eliminarlos correctamente,
diríjase a una empresa de reciclaje de electrónica autorizada y certificada. Pregunte la dirección a su delegado de medio ambiente o en su ayuntamiento. La
batería recargable debe sacarse del aparato para eliminarla por separado.
Eliminación de baterías
Las baterías usadas no se deben eliminar tirándolas a
la basura doméstica. Diríjase para ello a Weinmann

10. Garantía

Weinmann garantiza, durante un periodo de dos años a partir de
la fecha de compra, que el producto está libre de defectos si se
utiliza conforme a las prescripciones. En caso de productos que,
conforme a su denominación, tengan un periodo de durabilidad
inferior a dos años, la garantía expira al alcanzarse la fecha de
caducidad indicada en el embalaje o en las instrucciones de uso.
Para reclamar la garantía es condición indispensable la presentación de un comprobante de compra en el que se identifique al
vendedor y se indique la fecha de compra.
Weinmann rechazará cualquier reclamación de garantía en caso
de:

– errores de manejo
– uso o tratamiento incorrecto
– intervención ajena por parte de personas no autorizadas en el
aparato con fines de reparación
– fuerza mayor, como p. ej. rayos, etc

1.1 Przeznaczenie
VENTIpower służy do niezależnego od sieci zasilania energią elektryczną urządzeń
terapeutycznych VENTImotion, VENTIlogic, BiLevel ST 22, VENTImotion 2,
VENTIlogic plus i VENTIlogic LS. Aparat ten może być stosowany jako jedyne
źródło zasilania lub zasilanie zastępcze w czasie braku zasilania sieciowego.
VENTIpower nie jest przewidziany do bezprzerwowego zasilania energią
elektryczną (BZEE).
Urządzenie VENTIpower należy używać wyłącznie do celów tutaj opisanych.
1.2 Opis funkcji
Eksploatacja z urządzeniami terapeutycznimi
Przed rozpoczęciem terapii należy włączyć VENTIpower naciśnięciem przycisku

w porę naładować VENTIpower, a tym samym uniknąć głębokiego rozładowania
i wynikającego stąd uszkodzenia akumulatora.

2.1 Zasady bezpieczeństwa
Uważnie przeczytać instrukcję obsługi. Ona jest częścią składową urządzenia

również w torbie użytkować. Urządzenia i torbę należy przygotować
w następujący sposób:

Zaworów dołączających tlen VENTI-O2 i VENTI-O2 plus, które dostępne są jako wyposażenie dodatkowe, nigdy nie wolno uruchamiać w
torbie. Istnieje niebezpieczeństwo pożaru. W przypadku awarii w torbie może gromadzić się tlen.
1. Ważne: Otworzyć klapę wentylacyjną na tylnej
