5th Europaicum Summer School 2016

International Office (Eastern Partnership Programme) in
cooperation with Bachelor Optional Area (BOB) and “Certificate Europaicum” is organising the fifth edition of a special
summer school for students and PhD students from 1-12 August
2016. Course language is GERMAN, recommended level B2.
As in the previous years we are expecting many international
students.
We are offering an intensive, interdisciplinary programme with
classes related to European topics, which will enable the participants to gain diverse successful academic European competences in a short time. In addition, participants will develop
intercultural and social skills, which can qualify them for a
future European career with and within the European institutions. These competences can also be gained through the
Saarland University’s “Certificate Europaicum”. To acquire the
certificate, participants have to gather 24 ECTS in the specific
modules of interest.
The planned intensive courses develop competences in the
historical, political, cultural, but also legal and economic areas.
Regarding the content, they address the neighbouring regions,
but also the development of the home countries of our Eastern
European partners.
The participants will receive a certificate of attendance. For the
successful attendance of both intensive courses 6 CP can be
credited, for the successful attendance one intensive course 6 CP
can be credited, inclusively for the “Certificate Europaicum”.

Vom 1. bis zum 12. August 2016 bietet das International Office
(Osteuropaprogramme) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Bachelor
Optionalbereich (BOB) der Philosophischen Fakultäten und
dem Zertifikat Europaicum zum fünften Mal ein besonderes
Sommerkursprogramm für Graduierte und Studierende an. Wie
in den letzten Jahren werden auch dieses Jahr zahlreiche
internationale Studierende teilnehmen.
Montag, 1. August – Freitag, 3. August 2016
Die Teilnehmer der Sommerakademie erwartet ein intensives
und interdisziplinäres Angebot an europabezogenen Veranstaltungen, das innerhalb einer kurzen Zeit den Erwerb einer vielfältigen und wissenschaftlich fundierten Europakompetenz
ermöglicht. Es vermittelt ihnen aber auch interkulturelle und
soziale Kompetenzen, die sie für eine weitere berufliche Zusammenarbeit in und mit europäischen Institutionen qualifizieren.
Für diese besondere Qualifikation steht auch das Zertifikat
Europaicum, das beim Erreichen von 24 ECTS von der Universität des Saarlandes vergeben wird.

Die vorgesehenen Lehrveranstaltungen sind den Kompetenzbereichen Geschichte-Politik-Kultur sowie Recht und Wirtschaft zuzuordnen und beziehen inhaltlich die Grenzregion
sowie die Entwicklung der Heimatländer der ost-europäischen
Partner mit ein.
09.00 – 12:00
Die Teilnahme an der gesamten Veranstaltung wird durch ein
Zeugnis bescheinigt und im Umfang von 6 CP für den Erwerb
des Zertifikats Europaicum angerechnet. Die Teilnahme an einzelnen Intensivseminaren ist möglich und kann im Umfang von
3 CP pro Intensivkurs für das Europaicum anerkannt werden.
