A formula from the LATEX Companion, 2nd Edition, p.390: ! n X n−1 (1 − t)n−k t k −1uk . t[u 1 , . . . , un ] = k−1 k=1 The ISO would prefer that a formula like Z u 2 1 e −t /2 dt Φ(u) = √ 2π −∞ be typeset instead as Z u 2 1 Φ(u) = √ e −t /2 dt , 2π −∞ with upright π, e and d. I dislike the look of dt when the slope of t is too great.
